8 After the running of Race 5, Stewards ensured that Hold All Tickets public announcement by oncourse race-caller, as a result of the actions of MEG S MARVEL (2) running back-into the field in the front-straight. Stewards contacted TAB Race Day Operations advising that a review of the race would be conducted. Stewards determined that no greyhound was inconvenienced as a result of the actions of MEG S MARVEL (2), and All Clear was given. TAB Race Day Operations were contacted by Stewards and advised of the All Clear. RACE 5 GREYHOUNDPRODUCTSDIRECT.COM.AU STAKES 4 TH /5 TH GRADE 600M. WINNER CHEEKY TUNES (1) All runners began well. FLASH LOCK (4) has shifted-in in the first-turn, hampering the run of UMAILLA (3) and MEG S MARVEL (2), causing MEG S MARVEL 92) to fall awkwardly to the racing surface. MEG S MARVEL (2) has regained footing and commenced running into the frontstraight until reaching the 400m boxes, where it has turned and commenced running in the opposite direction. MEG S MARVEL (2) was eventually caught by track-staff at the 515m boxes. LADY S COMMAND (6) has led runners into the front-straight. FLASH LOCK (4) and RICKY BOY (8) have come together at the top of the frontstraight, with RICKY BOY (8) losing ground. FLASH LOCK (4) has led runners into the back-straight, before easing and shiftingout hampering the run of LADY S COMMAND (6). FLASH LOCK (4) has further hampered the run of LADY S COMMAND (6) passing the 600m boxes, by shifting-outwardly, causing both to lose considerable ground. CHEEKY TUNES (1) has run well in the home-straight. MEG S MARVEL (2) was examined by the on-course veterinary surgeon post-race, which revealed an injury to the Offside. Stewards interviewed the trainer of MEG S MARVEL (2), where footage of the Event was replayed, in particular the greyhounds actions in the front-straight. After taking into consideration submissions made the trainer, Stewards issued MEG S MARVEL (2) with an endorsement in accordance with GAR71 Unsatisfactory Performance. As a result MEG S MARVEL (2) is now prohibited from nomination and competing in an Event, until satisfactorily trialling before Stewards in accordance with GAR72. 9 Stewards also interviewed the trainer of FLASH LOCK (4), where footage of the Event was also replayed, in particular the greyhounds actions exiting the backstraight and passing the 600m boxes. After taking into consideration submissions made by the trainer, Stewards issued FLASH LOCK (4) with an endorsement in accordance with GAR69A Failing to Pursue the Lure. As a result FLASH LOCK (4) is now prohibited from nomination and competing in an Event, until satisfactorily trialling before Stewards in accordance with GAR72.
