Approaching the first turn all runners were vying for the lead as a result BUFFALO SOLDIER (5) was shifting out to come together with SPOT A STORM (6) who then lost momentum shifting out to collide heavily with BOGAN DOLL (7) and FLASH GEE (8). SPOT A STORM (6) lost ground checking off the heels of BOGAN DOLL (7) through the catching pen. RAVEN LOCH (1) had taken the lead through the catching pen. KINGSBRAE BOOF (3) lost ground off the heels of KOORINGA MOLLY (2) through the catching pen. Entering the home straight RED COAT (1) and KINGSBRAE MILLIE (4) raced tight vying for the lead. KINGSBRAE AVENUE (5) lost momentum as a result of checking off the heels of STORMY THUNDA (1). STORMY THUNDA (1) shifted ground hampering WATTA STORM (6). LA ARIEL (8) moved around the outside to take the lead through the catching pen. Approaching the home turn OGODEI STAR (4) moved up on the outside of LA ARIEL (8) to take the lead. WHERE S EGGY (3) was moving forward approaching the home turn on the inside when shouldering with LA ARIEL (8). Both greyhounds came together over the concluding stages. Connections of WHERE S EGGY (3) were advised the greyhound s performances would be monitored in the future as the benefit of doubt was given as the video footage was not conclusive. Stewards explained however their vision live was of a different opinion. WHERE S EGGY (3) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and no apparent injury was found. Approaching the bottom turn GRAND DASH (5) galloped on the hindquarters of TYPHOON TESS (3) as a result TYPHOON TESS (3) lost significant ground. ALPHA IRIS (1) and NINE MILLIMETRE (6) raced tight vying for the lead in the back straight. TYPHOON TESS (3) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and no apparent injury was found. KRABALIS (1) shifted out through the catching pen coming together with FEAR BETTY (3), KULU RUBY (5), KINGSBRAE DEB (6) and KINGSBRAE LADY (7). As a result FEAR BETTY (3) was inconvenienced. KINGSBRAE DEB (6) and KINGSBRAE LADY (7) fell taking no further part in the event. KINGSBRAE DEB (6) was examined by GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and no apparent injury was found. KINGSBRAE LADY (7) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and found to have split webbing to the hind foot.
