2 LATE WITHDRAWALS RACE As Race 8 is classified as a Group 3 Feature Event, all three placegetters will be swabbed. The winners only of all other races will also be swabbed. Stewards spoke to Miss K Coleman, trainer of Cardiology engaged in Race 1 tonight, following the withdrawal this morning of two kennel mates from tonight s Richmond meeting due to illness. Ms Coleman informed Stewards that the greyhounds withdrawn this morning had both showed signs of scouring, however Cardiology was kennelled in a separate block to those two greyhounds, and had not displayed similar symptoms. Stewards subjected Cardiology to a thorough veterinary examination to ascertain the greyhound s fitness, and was passed fit to compete. Stewards permitted AVONDALE AS Race 2 No. 2 to compete under GAR 39(2). The greyhound last started on 26/12/15 at the weight of 35.8kgs, and was presented tonight at 34.5kgs. RACE REPORTS RACE 1 LADBROKES MONTHLY MEDAL STAKES 5 TH GRADE 720M WINNER CARDIOLOGY( 6 ) IBROX PRINCE( 7 ) was slow to begin. KATIE THE WEAPON( 4 ) raced wide at the first turn hampering IBROX PRINCE( 7 ) and MADELIENA GIRL( 8 ) which both lost ground. COMPLETE RUN ON ¼ x 1 ½ CARDIOLOGY( 6 ) Direction of Stewards

3 RACE 2 BOWREY S BALES STAKES 5 TH GRADE 520M WINNER ONE HILL( 5 ) ONE HILL( 5 ) jumped smartly and led throughout. DEVIL PRINCE( 8 ) was slow to begin. AVONDALE AS( 2 ) galloped over the heels of DEBBIE S PRINCE(3 ) running through the catching pen, losing ground. SUPERBLY( 6 ) was checked off the heels of NEW DIRECTION( 1 ) at the turn out of the back straight, losing ground. AVONDALE AS( 2 ) was vetted with no incapacitation period imposed Stewards spoke to the trainer of AVONDALE AS( 2 ) regarding his greyhounds performance tonight. Mr Thomas expressed his disappointment with the run, indicating he could offer no excuses. Although resuming from a lengthy spell tonight, Mr Thomas informed Stewards that the greyhound had been trialling well in preparation for tonight s race, and was confident of a forward showing. Stewards noted Mr Thomas comments, however notwithstanding had the greyhound locked away with a urine sample to be obtained due to the poor performance. 4 RACE 3 FREE ENTRY FOR WOMEN STAKES 5 TH GRADE 520M WINNER BLACKEY STREEK( 6 ) PAUL DOZER( 5 ) and BLACKEY STREEK( 6 ) came together soon after the start. EXTERMINATOR( 4 ) and PAUL DOZER( 5 ) came together in the run to the first turn with EXTERMINATOR( 4 ) losing ground. MAGIC LACE( 2 ) raced wide approaching the first turn, checking PAUL DOZER( 5 ), PIPPA PEPPER( 7 ), and PRINCESS SOPHIA( 8 ), which all lost ground, PRINCESS SOPHIA( 8 ) worst affected. SHESA FELON( 3 ) checked PAUL DOZER( 5 ) running through the catching pen. MAGIC LACE( 2 ) hampered EXTERMINATOR( 4 ) in the home straight. MY AWESOME OPAL( 3 ) was checked off the heels of PERDO CERRANO( 7 ) approaching the turn into the back straight, losing ground from this incident hampering SIMONE SHIMMERS( 4 ), which also lost ground.
