GOLDEN SPRITZER [3] and TOTAL BACKFLIP [5] came together in the first turn, causing GOLDEN SPRITZER [3] to fall. BLACK JACK TARO [2], IRON SHEIK [4] and FLOKI [6] were vetted after a post race incident where they followed the AZAZEL [8] in behind the 400m boxes instead of the catching pen. Stewards spoke with the trainer of the greyhound who advised stewards that the greyhound had repeated those actions the previous week. Stewards advised Mr. Mchattan that a repeat performance may see the greyhound receive an endorsement under GAR 71. Post race veterinary examination of POLITENESS [1] revealed no apparent injury.
