In the run to first turn CENTRICO (2) and RITA S BOY (3) came together and also MAINLINE OSTI (4) and PEDRO CERRANO (5). PEDRO CERRANO (5) checked off heels TECHNO (6) turn into back straight. PEDRO CERRANO (5) checked off heels MAINLINE OSTI (4) in the home straight. CHEVY PRINCE (8) Veterinary examination revealed injury to offside shoulder. issued 10 days. Stewards interviewed connection of greyhound CHEVY PRINCE (8) in regards to greyhound s performance tonight. Connections advised that greyhound had not competed at Wentworth Park in recent times and in future will look to place greyhound at Provincial race meetings. Stewards were satisfied with connections submissions and will monitor future performances. Amendment: Stewards were contacted by connections of Chevy Prince (8) to advise that the next morning (Sunday) the greyhound had pulled up with a more severe injury. Chevy Prince (8) had fractured a hock from racing and subsequently the greyhound will be retired. Connections have provided a Vet certificate as confirmation of this injury. All patrons were evacuated from the main grandstand area for a period of approximately 20 minutes. A sweep of the complex by appropriate authorities provided the all clear for the patrons to be allowed back into main area. Due to this event the races were put back one race with race 10 being scheduled for 10.48pm. DANISIE (6) EXPRESSIVE (7) and COMATOSE (8) came together soon after start. Submissions to Stewards provided details around the quality of the race and the greyhound being drawn in a FFA event. Stewards advised that no further action will be taken tonight in regards to greyhounds performance other than to advise that future performances will be monitored.
