SAINT-GALMIER - 2nd May Trainer of the day : Mickaël Cormy (502, 501, 709, 801) Driver of the day : Martin Cormy (502, 709, 801) Horse of the day : Elu de Dompierre (612) Dark Horse : Botticino (305) Race 1 1. ARMANY D'HERMES - Has been a complete write-off for the past ten months and can expect to have few friends 2. AZAZELLO - A model of consistency for past four months. In decent company here but could still get a look in 3. ATHOS DU MANOLET - Appears to have found his way again following a lean patch and with form maintained should acquit himself competitively 4. BALOU D'ANGIS - Blows hot and cold but currently in decent shape and starting from the front line this time can only work to his advantage 5. VIVALDI JET - Struggling to recapture last season's form and will have few takers

6. BUDDHA - Useful Swedish import that has so far failed to find his mark in France and will need to reassure 7. SURICATO JET - Made no bones about winning at Chartres last time. Comes here fresh and from the front line looks a serious prospect 8. BIJOUX DE SAUZETTE - Undeniably capable but has failed to impress in three this year and others preferred 9. ALTONICO - Regularly in the thick of things when applied. Showed improvement at Amiens last time but still has more to find 10. VERIKA DAIRPET - Not the most reliable but has put in some good efforts this year and should logically finish in the money 11. ANGELO AM - Hardy sort that left a good impression on comeback last month. Will have come on for the run and looks to have the measure of most here 12. VENCEDOR - Won a Class E with authority at La Soie three weeks ago and in similar form can double his money 13. POWELL BI - Made a modest re-entry last month after a long layoff and will have nothing to offer 14. BRELAN DU VIVIER - Sprang something of a surprise when winning at Agen mid-april and a repeat looks highly unlikely 15. BADIUS DE TILOU - Very disappointing since returning from the winter break and no realistic chance 16. ARIA DE JOUDES - Superb campaigner making her first start of the year but is barefoot for the occasion and could well get straight down to business Following a promising re-entry at Vincennes last month (11) ANGELO AM should figure prominently here and will be considerably more at ease going righthanded. He will however be pitted against the tough (12) VENCEDOR who latterly won with ease at Lyon. (7) SURICATO JET has had time to freshen up after a solid Chartres victory and the 25m advantage stands him in good stead. (10) VERIKA DAIRPET tends to give a good account here when applied and will have her chances. The returning (16) ARIA DE JOUDES is barefoot for her first start of the season and cannot be discounted. (11) ANGELO AM - (12) VENCEDOR - (7) SURICATO JET - (10) VERIKA DAIRPET - (16) ARIA DE JOUDES - (4) BALOU D'ANGIS - (2) AZAZELLO - (3)

ATHOS DU MANOLET

Race 2 1. BEAU DU MONT - Superbly engaged. Impossible to fault at Saint-Galmier this term and will take all the beating 2. BONZAI DES BORDES - A total disappointment for the past 23 months and is not about to pull a rabbit out of the hat 3. BELLA NOVA - Is proven here and recently encouraged at Avignon. Good spot on the front line but others still preferred 4. BOY D'URZY - Complicated sort but has been knocking at the door of late and is sufficiently well placed in front to make a big impact 5. CRAPULE DE MORGE - Hardy sort that went close last time here. Drops back in class and from the 5-spot looks a player 6. BREIL PIERJI - Winner of his only start over the distance here and in this category will have his chances 7. BELLY DE LA VALLEE - Reliability not her strong suit and while not without merit will not be easy to trust 8. COOL FAST - Lost his way before being sent for a break and appears to have little chance here 9. ALLER SIMPLE - Has finished in the mix in last four starts and in spite of the draw can get a look in 10. CLOVER - Delicate type that has done nothing of note for a considerable time and can be ruled out 11. ASTRO LA BOURGEE - Produced a brace of good performances before disappointing at Cavaillon but goes unshod behind for the first time and despite the draw can pick up some stake money (1) BEAU DU MONT has been exceptional at Saint-Galmier this year and although not having been at her best at La Soie last time still looks the horse to beat. (5) CRAPULE DE MORGE makes her first appearance in the amateur category and even with shoes on still looks to be in with a decent shout. (6) BREIL PIERJI won his only start over the distance here and similarly appears competitively well in. The delicate (4) BOY D'URZY is better placed behind the car and after a brace of good efforts at Carpentras should be able to give this a good go.

(1) BEAU DU MONT - (5) CRAPULE DE MORGE - (6) BREIL PIERJI - (4) BOY D'URZY

Race 3 1. ARTISTIC CHARM - Has made the frame just once in last 17 starts and is not about to change his ways 2. AUTEUR COMPOSITEUR - Won earlier in the season but form has since regressed and must reaffirm 3. BISE D'OLITRO - Has done nothing noteworthy under harness for some time and can be ruled out 4. ANANDA - Just once out of the first five in last 11 racecourse appearances. Has nothing to prove here and will have his chances 5. BOTTICINO - Good dual-purpose type that has previously won over track and trip and from the front line can get a look in 6. VIVOLI - Regular for the most part and should not be hastily judged for his Borely effort. Breaks in front and can play an active role 7. ACTION FORCE - Excellent trotter when applied. Drops back in class and can complement her two previous victories at the venue 8. BOULBOUT DE GOHEL - Kicked the year off well but struggled in two of last three. Front shoes off here and worth noting 9. CAVIAR DU VIVIER - Reinvigorated of late and has a good entry here. Won comfortably at Cavaillon last time and can repeat 10. UGO D'URZY - Has looked very ordinary for some time and has no realistic chance 11. UGO DES JACQUOTS - Useful sort but stays shod for his second start of the season and not an obvious choice 12. AVRIK DE GUEZ - Finished fourth to Colonel Bond in a G.III last month before confirming at Cavaillon next time but incurs the penalty here and a minor place chance at best 13. VERTIGE DE CHENU - Complicated but has plenty of talent and on good behaviour should not be far off the mark (9) CAVIAR DU VIVIER has enjoyed something of a change in fortune over the past six weeks and should be able impose here - provided he can reproduce his latest Cavaillon performance. (7) ACTION FORCE was found wanting in a Class A at Tours mid-april but drops back in class to a course and distance he appreciates and can make a big impact. Barring his recent blip (6) VIVOLI has been in good shape this year and should not be far from the action. (4) ANANDA has a very good record at the venue and should pick up some more stake

money. (9) CAVIAR DU VIVIER - (7) ACTION FORCE - (6) VIVOLI - (4) ANANDA

Race 4 1. BALTIC SEHLAN - Undeniably talented but has completely lost his way and no chance after five-months' layoff 2. CAIMAN DU CITRUS - Has not once finished in the frame in this branch of the game and despite being in good form can be passed over 3. BIENVENUE FOLLE - Seldom seen under the saddle but currently in good shape and deserves to take her chances 4. BAQUALITO MAG - Switches codes after a regressive run under harness but has never shown much aptitude for the discipline and chances limited 5. CESAR TURGOT - Gave a very good account over shorter here last month. Breaks from the front and should again finish in the mix 6. CHIPS DE BOURGOGNE - Useful sort making just her second appearance in the specialty. Is well positioned in front and could pleasantly surprise 7. BARAKA BRIONNAISE - Delicate mare that has struggled since late last summer and can expect little support 8. VALSE MANISTE - Moderate sort with no particular love for Saint-Galmier and the extra 25m only adds to her woes 9. VANGISKAN SCOTT - Decent type but has just one race under his belt this term and is expected to need the run 10. ALOUSTE DE ROME - Unseen under the saddle since December but showed improvement in the other code last time and must be respected 11. ARAMIS DE CHENU - Decent sort dropping marginally in category and with application can impose here 12. VIF DU BOIS JARRET - Seldom far off the mark under these conditions. Gave a solid account at La Soie last time and should again figure prominently 13. VIVA L'ETRAT - Pleased on her only ridden start when barefoot. Is presently in good condition and is worth a small consideration 14. CALICOT DU VIVIER - Has enjoyed a good run under harness in recent months. Has never made any impact in the ridden code but should still not be underestimated 15. VICOMTE DE DAIDOU - Consistently in the thick of things and although never at his ease last time should bounce back with a big performance here Not the easiest of races to decode but given some of the performances that (11) ARAMIS DE CHENU has produced since the turn of the year and the slightly

inferior bunch he faces here he could well return to the winners' enclosure. (12) VIF DU BOIS JARRET however reassured at La Soie three weeks ago and considering his liking for Saint-Galmier will be no pushover. The consistent (15) VICOMTE DE DAIDOU did not race to his mark last time but is expected to bounce back with a more competitive effort. (5) CESAR TURGOT surprised over shorter here last month and from the front line can give the opposition something to consider. (11) ARAMIS DE CHENU - (12) VIF DU BOIS JARRET - (15) VICOMTE DE DAIDOU - (5) CESAR TURGOT

Race 5 1. FAREL - Has hardly set a foot wrong since winning on debut over shorter here and must be afforded respect 2. FLORINE DE VIETTE - Sanctioned on only start here but is a good filly in the making and after reassuring at Parilly will justifiably garner significant support 3. FIREJACK DE VIETTE - Solid in first two before disappointing at Borely but will still have his supporters 4. FARCEUSE DE MEAUCE - Erratic but has twice placed from five and could pick up a small cheque here 5. FILAE DE SOYORA - Put in a fast time over course and distance on penultimate start and appears to have every chance of imposing this time 6. FROMENTIN - Still a maiden from eleven but always gives his best and in this small field can make the first five 7. FUNNY PIERJI - Serious filly that got off the mark in style three weeks ago on first attempt right-handed and is not incapable of repeating (5) FILAE DE SOYORA has looked a decent trotter to date. She missed out by little for second here early March when breaking from the back line but on this occasion could well open her account. The hardy (2) FLORINE DE VIETTE was sanctioned that day but has since reassured at Parilly and from the 2-spot can give her a run for her money. (7) FUNNY PIERJI lost her maiden tag in style three weeks ago and although starting wide still looks to be in with a realistic shout. (1) FAREL has done everything right so far and can challenge for a place in the first three. (5) FILAE DE SOYORA - (2) FLORINE DE VIETTE - (7) FUNNY PIERJI - (1) FAREL

Race 6 1. EL SORO - Sprang something of a surprise when winning at Reims early last month but chances of repeating slim at best 2. EMMA DU LOISIR - Solid so far this year but shoes back on and will struggle to leave her mark 3. EMIR DE FAEL - Has been in flying form since return from a long layoff. Is confirmed here and looks a player 4. EBENE DE JAY - Flew up at Lyon three weeks ago when barefoot for the first time. Shoes off again but up against the boys here and a place chance at best 5. ELIXIR D'OURVILLE - Consistent sort that got off the mark at Borely late March. Makes his first appearance since and from the front line can make a big impact 6. ELAN DE DOMPIERRE - Regularly acquits himself respectably at Saint- Galmier but appears to be facing a stiff test this time 7. EASY MARCEAUX - Serious trotter that consistently gives his best. Is confirmed here and could get a look in 8. ESPOIR DE BELLOUET - Fine sort that seldom lets the side down but has not been seen out for four months and others preferred this time 9. EDDY DU LOISIR - Left a decent impression here early last month behind (12) ELU DE DOMPIERRE but still has more to find 10. EPICE LIGERIENNE - Useful filly but unraced since the autumn and will need the outing 11. ESQUINAZO DE LOU - Tough colt making Saint-Galmier debut after a brace of good scores and expected to figure prominently once more 12. ELU DE DOMPIERRE - Winner of all four starts with hind shoes off and latterly over course and distance. A five-timer looks a distinct possibility 13. ELODIE MARCEAUX - Can prove a handful but has ample ability. Won over course and distance earlier in the year and must be afforded respect (12) ELU DE DOMPIERRE has proved a veritable metronome and is unbeaten since going unshod behind. He won smartly over course and distance last month and can continue his productive run. (11) ESQUINAZO DE LOU won his last two in good order and the hat-trick is not beyond his grasp. (5) ELIXIR D'OURVILLE opened his account at Borely late March and after a short breather can make the most of his 25m advantage. After a long absence (3) EMIR DE FAEL has returned to competition in good shape and will also have his chances.

(12) ELU DE DOMPIERRE - (11) ESQUINAZO DE LOU - (5) ELIXIR D'OURVILLE - (3) EMIR DE FAEL

Race 7 1. DAROLD DU PLESSIS - Showed a different side to himself when barefoot but shoes on this time around and no threat 2. DASH AWAY LOMIG - Left a decent impression on comeback three weeks ago and in similar form could fill one of the minor spots 3. DODU DE BOIS JARET - Consistently acquits himself well at the venue and should be good enough to finish in the mix here 4. DEMETRIOS D'ELA - Unremarkable trotter that made a modest return last month and must raise his game 5. DANCER DE NOVA - Respectable type but not the most productive going right-handed and can be passed over 6. D'AMOUR DE MAGNY - Took no time getting back in the game following the break and from the front line will have his chances 7. DAYTONA LOVER'S - Won last time at the venue but currently off the boil and chances limited 8. DARLING DES VIGNES - Regularly a question of all-or-nothing. Front shoes off for re-entry and not to be underestimated 9. DEFI DE NAY - On a roll this year. Surprisingly lacklustre behind (14) DAUPHIN DU LOT at Cavaillon but adores Saint-Galmier and can turn the tables 10. DESTRIER JIEL - Very hard to fault going right-handed. In superb form and looks a serious proposition 11. DIEGO DU BOUFFEY - Can prove a handful but form is not in doubt and with application should not be too far off the mark 12. DOLLAR DU CAUX - Good consistent campaigner returning to racing clockwise and should put his Vincennes sanction behind him 13. DIVINE OHEM - Excellent mare when applied but stays shod and others preferred this time 14. DAUPHIN DU LOT - Pulled off a decent win at Cavaillon a fortnight ago. Shoes off again and although on the second line here can still confirm (14) DAUPHIN DU LOT won a Cavaillon Class C nicely two weeks ago when barefoot for just the second time. She has shoes off again and despite the penalty can double her money. (9) DEFI DE NAY was a surprisingly below-par fifth that day but has never disappointed at Saint-Galmier and looks the principal threat. The in-form (10) DESTRIER JIEL is rarely far from the action when

applied and returning to racing clockwise can only work to his advantage. (12) DOLLAR DU CAUX has been knocking at the door for some time and should again finish in the mix. (14) DAUPHIN DU LOT - (9) DEFI DE NAY - (10) DESTRIER JIEL - (12) DOLLAR DU CAUX

Race 8 1. CRISTAL PIERJI - Has shown marked improvement since the start of the year. Has the inside line and can finish close 2. VELEURY DERRO - Has endured a torrid time this year so far and must get his house in order 3. BELLE VICTOIRE - Hardy sort that regularly gives a good account. Sanctioned last time but is well placed in front and under these conditions looks a player 4. CHINI DE L'OISON - Complicated sort that won with authority at Enghien two weeks ago but has no references right-handed for 3.5 years and not an obvious choice 5. COSMOS PERRINE - Decent trotter but tends to show more in the claiming division these days. Has a good spot in front though and will have his supporters 6. BANGURO - Pleased on re-entry before disappointing at Reims last time and will need to find more 7. ALTESSE D'ARDENNES - Twice encouraged following the long absence. Races unshod all four for the first time and expected to show marked improvement 8. VIKING DE L'ORMEAU - Has ability but still very delicate. Is barefoot this time but still not easy to trust 9. BOB MAGIC - Dynamic in his last four starts. Not ideally drawn but is barefoot for the occasion and must be respected 10. VEOH D'HAGUE - Ended last season on a low note and has picked up where he left off. Disregard 11. VA ZIZOU - Solid in his last two when unshod behind. Same formula here and given his liking for the venue will generate interest 12. CIMARRON - Has been very hard to fault this year so far and with hind shoes off again can win this even from the second line 13. BLEVEN - Not the most productive of horses and will need to improve on recent comeback performance (12) CIMARRON is very hard to knock when racing unshod behind and in present form looks the pick of the field despite the second-row draw. Stablemate (3) BELLE VICTOIRE on the other hand is ideally positioned on the front line and also looks a serious prospect. (1) CRISTAL PIERJI has the inside line and comes here fresh with a realistic chance of making the frame. Following a brace of

fresheners (7) ALTESSE D'ARDENNES goes barefoot for the first time and could well spring a surprise. (12) CIMARRON - (3) BELLE VICTOIRE - (1) CRISTAL PIERJI - (7) ALTESSE D'ARDENNES

DUKE IGOR - Half a dozen wins from seventy runs and would actually have an each way chance on best form The booking of Christophe Soumillon for the joint topweight (1) TALENTO takes the eye. The gelding has started the season well with a victory at Cagnes-sur- Mer and finished a very nice third over this course and distance last time out.

That run looks good enough. (8) STAR OF PARIS looks a potential threat along with (4) MONTALBAN and (2) EL VALLE. (1) TALENTO - (8) STAR OF PARIS - (4) MONTALBAN - (2) EL VALLE

NANCY - 2nd May Trainer of the day : Serge Foucher (301, 505) Jockey of the day : Anthony Crastus (109, 801) Horse of the day : Perly de Clermont (701) Dark Horse : Bahaa (204) Race 1 1. BELANGELUS - Won an identical race over course & distance one year ago. Five pounds worst off 2. REALISATOR - Pleased on comeback over track & trip. Player with improvement likely 3. RED ANGEL - Encountered misfortunes in the running at Saint-Cloud. Expected to go close 4. A HEAD AHEAD - Encouraged at Longchamp last time out and must have a chance for place 5. ZEPHIR - Looks competitive under this mark. Can run well fresh and best to monitor 6. ZAPPEUSE - One pound below last winning mark. Off since 11 November and betting will guide 7. KADNIKOV - Unreliable but won off same mark last year and can pop-in 8. DAENERYS - Won well on comeback in Germany. Placed off same mark last year 9. DANI BLUE - A triple winner from forty one. In good form and has every chance off current mark 10. HOLLIVIA - Still a maiden from fourteen but solid last start at Compiegne and can go off the mark 11. EASTERBURG - Got back in the game over course & distance last time and is taken to confirm 12. SAKEELA - Lightly-raced. Well held on return in Germany. Hard to fancy 13. ADRIEL - One pound below last winning mark. Can run well fresh. Enters the equation 14. SABAWA - One pound worst off than when winning over course & distance last October. Not a priority

A wild open contest to start proceedings. (3) RED ANGEL could have won the race with a clear run at Saint-Cloud and is expected to go to post this time. (9) DANI BLUE has been knocking and deserves the utmost respect. (10) HOLLIVIA's last effort at Compiegne is excellent and she has strong claims on the back of this performance. (8) DAENERYS is not one to be overlooked. (3) RED ANGEL - (9) DANI BLUE - (10) HOLLIVIA - (8) DAENERYS

Race 2 1. MAVILLA - Thrice a winner from twenty nine but not considered for this at all here 2. KINGS LYN - Dual winner from thirty four career starts. Not disgraced latest and can place 3. POLARSTERN - German raider with moderate recent form and is hard to consider 4. BAHAA - Won back-to-back starts at Strasbourg last back end. Good last effort and enters the equation 5. SIMINEH - Won two in a row this term in Germany. Has it all to prove on french soil 6. SALERNO - Modest recent flat form and is unlikely to pose a threat today on that basis 7. EARL OF HEINZ - Six time winner from forty one. Struggled at the end of last year. A bit to prove 8. ESCLARMONDE - Finished last on both starts this term and is unlikely to pose a threat 9. MISS RAFAEL - Below-par at Toulouse last time. Previous form is solid. Has been supplemented 10. AMISHA - Pleased over course & distance last time out and has claims on the back of this effort 11. DAUPHINE DE FRANCE - Very consistent sort in this division. Will come on from last start. Player 12. DUBAI CREEK - Well beaten on return to action in the race run here on 7 April. Has a bit to find 13. LIRATO - On the podium a few times last year but has yet to win after thirty nine appearances 14. FAROUK - Beaten a long way on comeback in a claimer and will have limited aspirations (9) MISS RAFAEL's last run is best to be forgotten. She has been supplemented and is sure to find suitable ground conditions. She will be retained ahead of (11) DAUPHINE DE FRANCE who is expected to come on a lot from her last effort. (4) BAHAA is on the rise and will garner some support. (10) AMISHA is another for the shortlist.

(9) MISS RAFAEL - (11) DAUPHINE DE FRANCE - (4) BAHAA - (10) AMISHA

Race 3 1. BORNING RUN - Consistent for the most part over both hurdles and fences. Player 2. CHACHA AND RHUM - Never in the race before unseated rider at Strasbourg. A bit to prove 3. DARIUS DES BORDES - Lightly-raced but definitely one with ability. Enters the equation 4. CANAILLE DE VAUT - Beaten a long way at the venue on 20 April and has a few lengths to find 5. AMERICAN DREAMER - Experienced individual over the fences but has limited ability and is unlikely to trouble the judge 6. CALCIUM - Has demonstrated plenty of ability over hurdles and must be respected on first start over fences 7. STARKO - Beaten a neck on debut in this discipline at Lignieres. Has run only twice and is open to improvement 8. DORSA D'AIRY - One place from three starts over fences last term. Off since December and may need the race 9. STELLA D'AUBRELLE - Beaten a long way on return to action at Montlucon and needs to make vast improvement 10. DARLING MOIRETTE - Not disgraced at Fontainebleau in a better division and cannot be written off If (6) CALCIUM can reproduce over the fences what he has shown over hurdles then he will be hard to beat. (1) BORNING RUN has the experience factor on her side and looks the biggest threat to the selection. (7) STARKO ran a good race first time over the big obstacles and will come on a lot for the race. (10) DARLING MOIRETTE is not one to be disregarded. (6) CALCIUM - (1) BORNING RUN - (7) STARKO - (10) DARLING MOIRETTE

Race 4 1. CLOUD DANCER - Pleased on comeback at Strasbourg a fortnight ago. Player 2. GIVE ME THE BEST - Made late headway when second in a claimer at Deauville last month. First start for new yard 3. JIZELLITA - Caught the eye when runner-up in a newcomers race at Lyon. Will come on for the run 4. NELLY - Six pounds better off than when fourth 1 1/2 lengths behind (1) CLOUD DANCER at Strasbourg. Can reverse form 5. GALLINA DU MOULIN - Improved last run over course & distance in a claimer. Things look tougher today 6. SHYAMALA - Consistent for the most part but still a maiden from fourteen starts. Place prospect 7. SINOUMA - Well beaten on both starts to date and is hard to retain on that basis (3) JIZELLITA must have a lot of progress to offer after her excellent first run at Lyon. She is the obvious choice in this class 2 event. Both (4) NELLY and (1) CLOUD DANCER gave a good account at Strasbourg but the weight conditions are in favor of Sacha Smrczek's inmate this time round. (2) GIVE ME THE BEST will be interesting to follow on her first run for new yard. (3) JIZELLITA - (4) NELLY - (1) CLOUD DANCER - (2) GIVE ME THE BEST

Race 5 1. WORLD AMIRAL - Looked promising over hurdles last year. Has shaped-up nicely on the flat for this and must be closely monitored 2. HORST - Has proved useful since racing over hurdles and has a big chance on the back of his last effort 3. LATE NEWS - Very effective in the claiming division and although upped in class must have a chance 4. MY POTTINGUER - Has not been seen at his best recently and must make significant progress 5. L'AMIRAL NELSON - Won by 15 lengths when off the mark at Saint-Malo. Expected to confirm 6. JACK D'AUNOU - Has done too little to impress in three starts over hurdles thus far and is best to be watched 7. MINIGRI DE JUILLEY - Off the mark on the flat at Paray at the start of the month. First time over hurdles. Place chance 8. MANGIENNES - Unplaced on all for starts to date and impossible to build a case for her (2) HORST finished in front of subsequent Group III-chase winner Royale Maria Has at Toulouse and will prove hard to beat on the back of this effort. (5) L'AMIRAL NELSON was impressive at Saint-Malo but is asked a tougher task today. (1) WORLD AMIRAL is under a heavy weight and may have his work cut out. (4) MY POTTINGUER can be in the mix. (2) HORST - (5) L'AMIRAL NELSON - (1) WORLD AMIRAL - (3) LATE NEWS

Race 6 1. GLORIA - Improved with each outing this year and has earning potential 2. REINGARD - Has shown his limits in maidens but drops in distance and could be worth a look in 3. POLDINA - One win from a dozen runs and will need top form to even get close to a place 4. UMM SWAYYA - Has been effective this sort of trip. Competitive off this mark and looks the one to be on 5. AL RASSOUL - Has done nothing of note in four starts in condition races. Drops in class and can surprise 6. PETERHOF - Will come on from last run. Has shown early speed last year and is not one to be overlooked 7. MA PETITE TOSCANE - Placed three times from twelve runs but not making the required progress. Look elsewhere 8. JOE THE TINKER - Has been struggling for some time now and is best to pass over 9. SILVER SILK - Has shown little to make note of thus far and although down in the weights remains hard to fancy (4) UMM SWAYYA was beaten a quarter of a length at Durtal under similar conditions and is expected to go off the mark this time round. (1) GLORIA has improved in her last two starts and benefits from a three pounds female-rider allowance that could make all the difference. (2) REINGARD can be monitored on his first start in a handicap. (4) UMM SWAYYA - (1) GLORIA - (2) REINGARD - (6) PETERHOF

Race 7 1. PERLY DE CLERMONT - Grand servant and in flying form. Will take all the beating 2. CANTER DES FRESNES - Pulled-up last three starts including latest in this division 3. RAPID LOUP - Modest recent form on the flat in Germany. First time over hurdles. Well held on sole start over the fences 4. ASCO D'AIRY - Off since August 2015 and is unlikely to pose a threat on comeback 5. HASARDEUR - Has struggled in all four starts over jumps last year and is best to watch on return to action 6. WOOD LAW - Showed better intentions on both seasonal starts and must have a place chance 7. DE CE PAS SIVOLA - Useful mare in the Province over both fences and hurdles. Can be included in calculations 8. DORS DINE - Has featured on several occasions in this league last year. Can be in the mix 9. APOLLONIS - Useful on the flat but modest first run over hurdles a fortnight ago 10. GOOD GIRL - Tailed off last on debut in this discipline at Argentan. Can be passed over (1) PERLY DE CLERMONT boasts an impressive record in this division and with a six pounds apprentice allowance added the Cottin-trained veteran will take a power of beating. (8) DORS DINE has featured under these conditions last year and should be readier than she was at Auteuil three weeks ago. (7) DE CE PAS SIVOLA and (6) WOOD LAW can make the frame. (1) PERLY DE CLERMONT - (8) DORS DINE - (7) DE CE PAS SIVOLA - (6) WOOD LAW

Race 8 1. WHISKY GALORE - On a hattrick. Is distance-suited and ground likely to be in his favor 2. MADE TO RACE - Has run well off this same mark last term. Will come on from last start 3. BOOK OF DAYS - Encouraged on return to action at the venue over 2400m and is not one to be disregarded 4. SHY MOON - Course & distance winner. Competitive off current mark and must be respected 5. SIMANO - Good last two starts. Will be ground-suited. Tries the trip 6. SISTER VIC - Posted two good efforts this term in this division. Must have a chance once again 7. POWERMAN - Under a workable mark since March and should be at the premises 8. HONORIUS QUERCUS - Won well at Lyon over 2200m last time. Has a four pounds penalty to defy 9. ROSKILLY - Never a danger in six starts last term and is unlikely to trouble the judge 10. CLASSICA - Has not done anything of note for the past twelve months and can confidently be passed over (1) WHISKY GALORE won by eleven lengths at La Teste and although he has been upped seven pounds for that effort he still looks capable of getting the job done. A winner of a claimer over course and distance on his penultimate start (4) SHY MOON has since run well under today's mark and looks an obvious contender. (5) SIMANO is in good heart and will not go down without a fight. (1) WHISKY GALORE - (4) SHY MOON - (5) SIMANO - (2) MADE TO RACE
