6 RULES AND REGULATIONS Online entry available at his show is a regular member of the United States Equestrian Federation. Every class offered herein hich is covered by the rules and specifications of the USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in ccordance therewith. NTRIES: Every Entry Blank must have the signature of the owner/authorized agent, or trainer & be ccompanied by a check for the amount of the stall or an open check. NO NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT AN OPEN CHECK. THERE WILL BE A $60 LATE FEE FOR ENTRIES POST MARKED AFTE PRIL 28TH. COGGINS MUST BE INDICATED ON ENTRY BLANK OR PRESENTED AT SHOW. There w e an office fee of $60.00 for every horse on the show grounds that will cover ring schooling, scratches, add nd security. It is the responsibility of the person making the entry to execute properly and complete all ecessary information pertaining to each entry made in accordance with the rules of the USEF. There will be $ fee plus stall or grounds charges for any non-showing horse. REDIT CARDS will be accepted however you MUST have your credit card present at check out. TALLS: STALL FEE - $210. Stalls are permanent 10 x 10 box stalls with doors. Feed, hay and bedding vailable on show grounds. Manure to be disposed of in designated areas. NO MANURE IN TRASH ONTAINERS. No stall doors or panels may be removed. A $55 grounds fee charged for all horses not urchasing a stall. NO OUTSIDE SHAVINGS EFUNDS: Prior to close of entries, entry fees shall be refunded upon presentation of a written statement. fter that date any refunds will require a signed veterinary statement stating that the horse is unable to erform or a doctor s statement regarding rider s illness. In either case there will be $35.00 processing fee. ETURNED CHECKS: $50.00 or 10% of the check amount whichever is greater, will be charged for all eturned checks. Accounts will be given 5 days to pay with certified funds or be reported to USEF (GR913) REDENTIALS: ALL EXHIBITORS IN THE PONY, JUNIOR HUNTER AND ANY AMATEUR SECTION MUST PRESENT THEIR MEASUREMENT CARD AND/OR AMATEUR CERTIFICATIONS at the show offic efore numbers can be released. Send Photostats of cards with entry. All ponies or horses not having curre measurement cards will be measured at an announced time and place. Anyone not presenting a current SEF/USHJA membership card (or copy) will be charged the Show Pass fees. RUGS AND MEDICATIONS: Current USEF rules relating to drugs and medications will be enforced. Each orse entered must pay $8.00 Equine Drug/Medication Fee plus an $8.00 USEF fee. Sharps and medical aste must be disposed of in sharps containers. Anyone found dumping medical waste into manure or trash ns may be fined up to $100 for improper disposal. USHJA Fee is $7.00 per entry. CHOOLING: Times will be posted & announced. Hard hats must be worn when mounted. AMPERS: Camper spaces are available for $200 or $250. Please reserve on entry blank!! OGS: Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise ontained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners failing to comply with this ule may be subject to penalty under Ch. 6 & 7, as well as issuance of warning cards. Loose dogs may be mpounded by Animal Control. $200 FINE WILL BE IMPOSED. The first round and first jump-off, if any are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and penalties for exceeding the time allowed. To be eligible to compete the same pony/rider combination must have shown in the Pony Hunter Division. Fences 3 with four option fences set at 3 3 to 3 5 In order to receive points, riders must complete a USHJA Exhibitor Declaration Form at least one hour prior to start of class. Separate ribbons to be awarded for Round One. Formal attire is required. Horses to return for ribbon presentation $750-$550-$325-$200-$150-$125-$100-$75-$75-$50-$50-$50 TTIRE: It is compulsory for riders in all Hunter, Jumper and Hunt Seat Equitation classes, both open and estricted including Hunter Hack, where jumping is required and when mounted anywhere on the show rounds to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society fo esting Materials)/SEI(Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. Any rider violating this rule at any time must immediately be rohibited from further riding until such headgear is proper in place. See GR Riders must be properly tired. Numbers must be worn and clearly visible. See USEF GR 801. UMPER: Ties in Jumper classes jump off for first place only. Ties for all other places to be determined by he fastest time in the first round among those with equal number of faults. Ties for Champion & Reserve emain tied. MANUAL POLING IS PROHIBITED.

In case of any action or proceeding brought against Great SW Eq Center or Horse Show Management by reason of such claim exhibitor, upon notice, covenants to defend such action or proceeding by council acceptable to owner. Exhibitor is responsible for his/her own property and the Great SW Eq.Center or this horse show are not responsible for accidents, fire or theft. OPERATION OF MOTORIZED VEHICLES: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
8 HEALTH REQUIREMENTS 1. Horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Documentation should consist of one of the following methods mentioned below. The frequency of vaccine administration should be per the vaccine manufacturers or veterinarian s recommendations. It is recommended that vaccines are administered by or under the direction of a veterinarian. 2. In the case of vaccines administered by a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide documentation fro the veterinarian on documenting that the horse in question received the vaccinations; name of the vaccines and date of vaccine administration 3. In the case of vaccines administered by a person other than a veterinarian, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a receipt of the vaccine purchase which is signed by the owner or agent with care, custody and control of the horse; name serial number and expiration date of the vaccine; and date of vaccine administration. 4. In the case of a horse that is unable to receive either of the vaccinations due to a history of adverse reactions, the exhibitor, upon request by Competition Management, must provide a letter from the veterinarian on official letterhead stating that the horse in question cannot be vaccinated due to medical concerns and a log of temperatures taken twice daily for the seven days prior to entering the competition grounds. These horses must also have their temperature taken and logged twice daily while on the competition grounds. The log of temperatures should be provided to the Competition Management, steward, or technical delegate when requested. HORSE REGISTRATIONS: All horses competing in Federation non-breed restricted licensed competitions with hunter, hunter breeding, jumper and hunter seat equitation classes (except those activities enumerated in GR901.9, items 1-9) must be properly identified and must obtain a Registration Number from USHJA. A registration number for each horse must be entered on all entry forms for licensed competitions Proof of registration must be presented to the Show Secretary before numbers can be released. To be eligible for National Regional or Zone Horse of the Year Awards, and to enter a USEF Computer Ranking List Class horses must also be registered with the USEF. Exception for USEF Computer Ranking List: Citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation need not have USEF Registration. SHARPS DISPOSAL Sharps containers will be provided in all barns for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments. ALL items of this nature MUST be disposed of in the provided containers. NO SHARPS are to be disposed of I any receptacle other than the provided sharps container. Any indivicual or entry not in compliance will be subject to a $100 fine per USEF WHILE EVERY EFFORT HAS BEEN MADE TO AVOID MISTAKES IN THIS PUBLICATION, THE HORSE SHOW MANAGEMENT AND STAFF ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR ERRORS.
