3 Format There will be two (2) competitions. 1 Jumping Equitation (JE) 2 Two Round Show Jumping competition (SJ). No competitor will be expected to do their SJ round within 10 minutes of finishing their JE round. Jumping Equitation Competition Jumping Equitation will consist of one round over a course of 8-10 fences, including a double with a total of 9-11 efforts. There is no set speed but the course should be ridden at a good pace depending on the horse. Show Jumping Competition This competition will be judged over two rounds with a time allowed for the first round, and against the clock for the second round. Competitors are placed by adding the penalties for the two rounds. In the case of equality of the added penalties for first place, a jump-off against the clock will be held over a shortened course of obstacles which may be increased in height and/or spread. Lower places are classified by total penalties and, in the case of equality, the time taken in the second round. The speed will be 350 mpm. The course for the second round may be identical or different and increased in size, at the discretion of the course designer, judge and technical delegate. This competition will be run under EA SJ article 273, clause Penalties Faults are penalised in penalty points or by elimination according to the table below. However, non- qualified riders & horses may take part, but may not count towards club scores. Grade 1: Equitation height 95cm Show Jumping 1st round 1.05cm Grade 2: Equitation height 85cm Show Jumping 1st round 95cm Grade 3: Equitation height 70cm Show Jumping 1st round 80cm Grade 4: Equitation height 55cm Show Jumping 1st round 65cm As per PCT rule 7.5.2, A MAXIMUM OF TWO HORSES, of which only one in G3, may be entered per rider.

4 Prizes and Trophies: Ann Paterson Saddleworld Trophy for Club Team. The club team will consist of the score of the club s best placed rider in any three of the four Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4 of the Show jumping class added together. The Keith Targett Memorial Trophy is for the highest placed individual rider, from all grades in the showjumping rounds only. Aged under 13 years. A Trophy will be presented for each grade to the club whose 3 riders place highest.
