1 SWAWPCS BRONZE MEDAL AND RIDDEN SHOW 27 th NOVEMBER 2016 Stretcholt Equestrian Centre, Stretcholt, Bridgwater, Somerset Well!!!! who would have thought that with the National Foal Show and Winter Fair on that we would once again have a successful show. Although disappointing numbers forward for the Medal Classes, what we lacked in quantity was made up in quality. The Welsh Ponies and Cobs forward certainly didn t disappoint! A freezing cold day but competitors were out in force, and with coffee, hot chocolate and tea on tap it did not deter the enthusiasm at this time of the year! Lisa Barsoum, Dr Rob Allen, Janet Mann, Gillian Sells and Kayleigh Spiller as judges, all had their work cut out in the Championships. After much deliberating, the Supreme In Hand of Show went to The On Form Section D Filly RINGSIDE FIELDS OF GOLD owned and handled by Katie Williams this striking palomino filly bred by the Ringside Stud is sired by the popular Swannhill Golden Rocket who is putting his stamp on winning youngstock to date. Reserve Supreme also went to a filly foal, but this time it was the Welsh Section C owned by D Jordan and A Abrahall and expertly shown by Anne s daughter Heather Abrahall - WYKEN SWEET SILHOUTTE a beautiful elegant bay filly that also took the judges eye throughout the day. The Supreme Ridden Champion was the winner of the First Ridden class, Sara Glazebrook s Section B Bronheulog Sun Shimmer. Ridden by her daughter Isobel with Sarah Davies Section A Lead Rein winner Brynseion Jerusalem in Reserve.
