2 Jr Members! Look for this ribbon on the 14 select heifer pedigrees for your 10% discount.
3 Thank you for your interest in our dispersal! Todd and I purchased our first cows about 25 years ago and feel blessed that we were able to raise our daughter and sons on the farm. The difficult decision to sell our herd has been bittersweet, but we are thankful for the successes we've had and are looking forward to the next chapter of our lives. We are humbled and honored you've chosen to attend our dispersal, and we hope you have continued success with your purchase. We extend a sincere THANK YOU to Tracy, Karen, and Karla for the countless hours putting together our catalog, to friends and family for their support and willingness to help, and to Al Wessel and the Mid-American Auction staff for their time and energy spent making our dispersal a success. -Todd and Jean Welcome to the TJ-Pollema Registered Holstein Complete Dispersal Auction. We are very pleased you could be with us today and hope you are able to make several selections from this very fine home bred herd. Todd and Jean have worked very hard to produce a set of sound high producing females that have performed well in the show ring but equally important have proven their worth in the milk line. Current official DHIA records indicate a herd average of 2x 25,325M with 4.0% 1013 pounds fat and 3.3% 835 pounds protein. SCC 145,000. Cows should easily adapt to most facilities as over 70% of the herd is switched from the tiestall barn to a free-stall facility. Nearly all have been free-stall trained. An excellent herd health program and regular hoof trimming schedules have been in place for many years. Animals requiring TB testing will be tested post auction. Cows are dry treated along with Orbeseal. The Pollemas are widely known for a sound breeding program using leading sires, including, but not limited to: Redneck-Red, Barbwire-Red, Avatar-RC, Goldwyn, Armani-RC. Current service sires include: King Boy, Apple Crisp-RC, Ammo-P-RC, Rev-Me-Up-Red and Rainy-RC. Along with a great set of home bred cows, Todd and Jean offer an extremely fancy set of bred and open heifers out of leading AI Sires and top TJ-Pollema dams. Todd and Jean are offering special incentives to juniors on a select group of show age yearlings and calves. This dispersal offers something for everyone from high type cattle to solid commercial milk cows to outstanding bred and open heifers. Please pay close attention to any statements made from the auction block as to updated breeding, freshening, and production information. All registration papers will be transferred by sellers so please give complete information to our clerks so papers can be transferred correctly. All purchases must be settled for within 15 minutes of conclusion of auction. If you will be needing trucking or will be leaving animals beyond the sale date, please alert owners or sales staff so arrangements can be made. Thank you for attending today's auction. We hope you will enjoy your sale selection as much as Todd and Jean have enjoyed producing this great set of cattle. Sincerely, The Staff and Management of Mid-American Auction Co., Inc.
