Carson s Carson s Sizzling Hot Summer Draft Horse Sale Friday & Saturday, June 15 th & 16 th, 2018 Sale starts at 9:00 A.M. with All Tack & Equipment Selling 1 P.M. Onwards Horse Sale Preview (Any horses can be hitched and driven). There will be no set format for this. It will be between the buyers and consignors. However, at 3 P.M. we will do a live video stream of any line horses that need to be previewed. Welcome to Carson s New Sizzling Hot Summer Sale consignment sale, we decided to change our Spring Sale to a Summer Sale as we felt this would give everyone a better chance to have young stock started in harness, broodmares foaled and bred back and any show mares and geldings ready for the up-coming World Shows. We are having the Complete Dispersal for Bob Butler due to his sudden passing of horses and equipment, a production sale for Ryanday Farms of very well bred Percheron stock. Plus some good show stock of Belgians, Percherons and Clydesdale. This year as an added extra we are taking consignments for a Driving Section of Commercial, DHH & Standardbreds plus a riding section of all drafts and draft crosses as these are becoming very popular. Due to the kind nature of our drafts and their sensible heads. We also want to accommodate the pleasure breeder and driver so we have some good farm teams with experience in the sugar bush and farm equipment that would also be good for hay and sleigh rides. Entries will be taken right up until sale day but they will sell after the catalogued horses. Check out the tack and equipment on our web-page. No straw for bedding. Shaving will be available to purchase. Attention bred mare buyers! All bred mares will have a note from their vet at home but if you are in any doubts we can have a veterinarian here to check her before she leaves. Attention Consignors Please supply a new leather or nylon halter and lead rope that will go with each horse. If you fail to provide this the committee has the right to purchase a new halter, the cost of the halter will be deducted from the sale price. Ontario Clydesdale Club will be holding Their Annual Clyde Banquet at the Listowel, Ag. Hall on Friday Night. Everyone Welcome. Please reserve your tickets so they know approximate numbers. Tickets available at our office or at their booth on both sale days. Tickets are only $25.00 per person for a great meal. 1

2 The 2017 Fall Futurity Promotion Event was another great success. We would like to thank all that took are but we can t all be as lucky as Gord Ruzicka & Doug Hobman who have won 4 out of the last 5 years winning a total of $41, in prize money and they still had their horses to sell. Or Clark Gregg who cleared $18,200 after picking up his prize money and selling his 2 Year Old Gelding. This is a profitable program that works, and is helping our draft horse industry. There is no reason not to get involved, whether you re a breeder, sponsor, competitor or spectator.
