All entry fees must accompany the official entry form. Entries close on Wednesday 25 th July No late or telephone entries allowed. 2. All entries are subject to the various Rules and Regulations of the Society that are printed in the Official Schedule. 3. ALL competitors must wear regulation head protection to current standards/breed society rules at all times when riding. 4. All competitors take part at their own risk. The organisers do not hold themselves responsible for any accident that might occur to horse, rider, property or spectator. 5. All stallions and colts 2 years old or over must be adequately bitted. 6. Competitors are requested to be in the collecting ring before their class is due to commence, and in the case of jumping classes, to give their name and number to the Collecting Ring Steward. 7. The decision of the judges will be regarded as final. 8. All participants must hold a passport for each horse and carry Third Party Insurance for not less than 2m. 9. Any objections must be made in writing to the General Secretary and be received by her within 30 minutes of the judging. Any person lodging an objection shall deposit the sum of 20, the deposit to be forfeited should the objection not be sustained. 10. All timings are approximate and subject to change and it is the competitor s responsibility to present themselves in the ring for the start of their class. 11. Local Riders must live in the parish of Ashover or within a five-mile radius of Ashover Parish Church. 12. 2 ENTRIES Online entries are being accepted for some classes as well as paper entries. If you wish to enter online then please go to and search for Ashover Show. There is a 50p charge to cover the website fees. PLEASE NOTE THAT CLASSES 3, 4, 5, 13 & 14 ARE LIMITED TO 15 COMPETITORS. CLASSES 25, 326 & IN RING 3 WILL BE LIMITED TO 10 ENTRIES. ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOCATED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS. IN THE EVENT THAT A CLASS IS OVERSUBSCRIBED THEN A WAITING LIST WILL BE HELD IN THE ORDER THAT ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED. Each competitor will be issued with an entry pass and one other pass into the show with the exception of Lead Rein and Driving competitors who will receive 3 passes in total. Anyone else accompanying the competitor must purchase an entry ticket in advance. Failure to do this may result in you being refused entry to the lorry park. If further advance tickets are required then please purchase these from or send payment and ticket requirements to the Light Horse Section Manager. A pass will be issued for vehicles transporting horses. Spot checks will be made to ensure everyone entering the show has a ticket. EXHIBITOR PASSES ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE AND MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES. Competitors are expected to exempt themselves from any class where they have a personal or professional relationship with the judge or steward. Failure to adhere to this may result in elimination and forfeiture of all entry fees and prizes 2

Working Hunter - Pony Mare or Gelding 15hh (152.4cm) & under. Jumps not to exceed 70cm. 5. Working Hunter - Horse Mare or Gelding 15hh (152.4cm) & over. Jumps not to exceed 80cm. 6a. Working Hunter Championship 1 st & 2 nd placed competitors from classes 3, 4 & to the Champion and 10 to the Reserve. 6b. Ashover Riding Club Working Hunter Championship Open to the 2 highest placed competitors in classes 3,4 & 5 who have qualified at an ARC show in the 2018 season. Skewbald or piebald, mare or gelding not exceeding 148cm. 4 years Ridden Coloured Horse Skewbald or piebald, mare or gelding exceeding 148cm. 4 years +. Mare or gelding, 4 years and over, to be judged on suitability for dressage/show jumping/eventing 36. Ridden Rescue. Open to any horse or pony that has been adopted through a rescue scheme. Marks, scars and blemishes caused by ill treatment will not be counted. There is no entry fee for this class. 37. Ridden Championship For 1 st and 2 nd prizewinners from classes to the Champion and 10 to the Reserve. Champion and reserve will go forward to class 38. Supreme Ridden Championship and class 39 Supreme Champion in Show. 38. 10 RING THREE LOCAL CLASSES Class 40 will not start before Class 47 to be judged at in the centre ring. Judge: Mrs J Butler, Alton Entrants to Classes can only enter Classes 13, 14, 59 & 60 in addition. Entrants may also enter the Swathwick Championships if they have qualified at an Ashover Riding Club Show in the 2018 season. Competitors must be 16 & under and live in the parish of Ashover or within a five mile radius of Ashover Parish Church.
