Secretaries, Declarations and Flu Vac Checking All competing horses and ponies must have an up to date full flu vaccination certificate. If your flu vaccination does not comply, or you do not bring the complete record with you, you will be eliminated. Your flu vac certificate and passport will be checked when reporting on arrival, once parked please follow signs to the Flu Vac and declaration area. Once your flu vac has been accepted and you have collected your competitor number, horse and rider are deemed to have declared. All other queries can be dealt with in the Secretaries Marquee which will be located over the bridge from the lorry park. Open to British Riding Club members only. 3 QUALIFIERS Royal London Horse Show This show is affiliated to the International Showing Society and is a qualifier for the Royal London Show First, second and third placed horses/ponies not already qualified in eligible classes will qualify for the Champion of Britain Title classes to be held at the Royal London Show in Each qualified horse/pony will receive a qualification card in the ring which will enable the owner to enter the Royal London Show, provided the owner and rider/handler are, or become registered with the International Showing Society within 28 days of the qualifying show. No horse registration is required. Qualifying Classes Working Hunter Pony Open Working Hunter Working Mountain and Moorland Ridden Cob Riding Horse Ridden Coloured Open Ridden Hunter Ridden Mountain and Moorland

4 TIMETABLE Superflex Ring 9am Start Class 1 - Novice Working Hunter Open to horses over 15hh that are capable of carrying a rider safely whilst out hunting. Horses must not have won more than 200 in total in any Working Hunter Class, no more than 200 in BS winnings or more than 25 BE points. The natural balance of a working hunter is of most importance. Maximum height of fences is 90cm, the course will be inviting and built to encourage the novice horse. Class 2 - Open Working Hunter As above. No restrictions on winnings. Maximum height of fences is 1m. Class 3 - Working Hunter Pony Open to ponies 15hh and under that are capable of carrying a rider safely when out hunting or in similar circumstances. Ponies must not have won more than 400 in BS winnings. The natural balance of a working hunter is most important. Well-earned minor blemishes will not be marked down. Seniors may enter on ponies/horses between 14hh and 15hh. Maximum height of fences will be 85cm. Class 4 - Working Cob Open to cobs exceeding 14hh but not exceeding 15.1hh that are capable of carrying a substantial weight for a full day s hunting or a similar circumstance. It is a type rather than a breed. The cob should be short legged. It should have bone and substance with quality. They should be well mannered and ideal for any rider, have all the attributes of a good hunter; low movement and a comfortable ride. Maximum height of fences 85cm. Class 5 - Working Mountain & Moorland To be judged in the same way as Working Hunter Pony. Fences will be a maximum of 85cm. Class 6 - Working Championship 1 st and 2 nd place from classes 1 5 will be required to attend the Championship and then Champion will be required to attend the Supreme Championship.

5 Magic Ring 9am Start Class 7 - Riding Horse Must be true to type. Riding horses should have correct conformation, presence and substance. Must display correct paces and a true way of going. Open to horses exceeding 14.2hh. Class 8 - Riding Club Horse Must be true to type. A Riding Club horse is a true all rounder. Should be capable of all RC activities. Will be required to jump a small jump (height altered for ponies). Should possess a calm temperament. Horses or ponies competing in the above class must never have qualified for Royal International Horse Show, Horse of the Year Show, or Olympia. Class 9 - Ridden Mountain & Moorland Classes will be split into small and large breeds if entry numbers warrant. Small breeds Shetland, Exmoor, Dartmoor, Welsh sec A and Welsh sec B Large breeds- Connemara, Fell, Dales, Highland, New Forest, Welsh sec C and Welsh sec D. Mountain and Moorland ponies should be shown in a natural state. They may be trimmed as per the breeds guidelines. Manes and tails must not be plaited or braided. Ponies must be eligible to be registered with the appropriate breed society. Class 10 - Ridden Cob Open to cobs exceeding 14hh but not exceeding 15.1hh that are capable of carrying a substantial weight for a full day s hunting. It is a type rather than a breed. The cob should be short legged. It should have bone and substance with quality. They should be well mannered and ideal for any rider, have all the attributes of a good hunter; low movement and a comfortable ride. Cobs should be judged the same as Hunters, but they should be well schooled and particular attention should be paid to manners. Class 11 - Novice Ridden Hunter Open to horses 15hh and over that are likely to be capable of carrying its designated weight for a full day s hunting. Horses should be bold with a calm temperament and with the correct conformation to maintain soundness. They should show four correct and athletic paces. Horses must not have won more than 25 first prize or more than 100 in total in any Hunter Class. Judges will be selected from the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain Panel.

6 Class 12- Open Ridden Hunter As above. No restrictions on winnings. Class 13- Ridden Championship 1 st and 2 nd place from classes 7-12 and 15 & 16 will be required to attend the Ridden championship. The Champion will then be asked to attend a Supreme Championship In The Pink Ring 9am Start Class 14 - In the Pink Senior Horse & Pony (will be split on heights if necessary) For the all round BRC Veteran horse or pony aged 18yrs and over. A detailed history (no more than 100 words) about the horse or pony must accompany the entry form and this will be taken into account. Class 15- Retrained Racehorse All ex-racehorses must have raced in the UK under British Horseracing Authority rules. Horses must also be registered with Weatherby s in their General Stud Book and must be four years old or over but any height. Horses will be judged on general condition as a Thoroughbred athlete, adaptability to their new career along with turnout and manners. Any racing injuries such as scars, knocks or bumps will be ignored. Please be aware however the judge may be required to ride your horse. BRC will require the full registered racing name of each horse entered to check eligibility with Weatherby s. Class 16 - Ridden Coloured Horse/Pony any type, height, colour or sex. Judge will not ride. No spurs. (Class to be run under the BSPA rules)
