2 LIGHT HORSE PHOTOGRAPHER ADRIAN SINCLAIR, SINCLAIR PHOTOGRAPHY RULES Passes to main show ground will be issued on parking your Light Horse Vehicle Competitor numbers should be collected at the secretary s tent which will be located near the lorry park PASSES ALLOCATION (i.e. wristbands) 1 Horse or pony 3 passes 2 Horses or ponies 4 passes 3 Horses or ponies 5 passes 4 Horses or ponies 6 passes 5 Horses or ponies 7 passes 6 Horses or ponies 8 passes Passes may be used by owners, riders or grooms and should be worn throughout the day. N.B. If you are not wearing a pass, you will be charged admission to the Show, irrespective of status. 1. Owners entering their horses do so at their own risk. The Society will not be liable for any loss or damage that may occur to any person attending the show, or to his or her property, whether a visitor, or otherwise. 2. The number of entries in each class may be limited at the discretion of the Light Horse Committee. 3. Correctly secured British Standard Skull Caps/Riding Hats Nos. PAS015, EN1384 (USA) ASTMF1 163 that meet current Safety Standards must be worn by riders at all times when mounted. In the interests of safety, horses must be kept at walk except in the designated practice, Showing and Jumping Rings. Any competitor disregarding this regulation may be asked to leave the Showfield. 4. All trophies are 'Perpetual', remaining the property of the Society and should be returned before the following year's Show. Failure to do so may result in entries being refused. 5. The James Campbell of Aberfeldy Memorial Trophy presented by Mr A Gage will be awarded to the Champion of each section in annual rotation The Registered M&M Novice Ridden Champion 6. All times are approximate. The Light Horse committee reserve the right to split or amalgamate classes and also to change rings if required. It is the competitor s responsibility to look at the timetable and listen to announcements. 7. Unaffiliated show jumping classes will be judged under current British Show jumping Rules and Regulations. 8 No lead reins permitted in any class apart from class 8, 12 & Complaints procedure: In the event of a complaint it must be handed, in writing, accompanied by 30, to the Light Horse Chairman. The complaint will then go in front of the Light Horse committee. If the committee decide to uphold the complaint the 30 will be returned. 10. No telephone entries will be accepted. 11. Postal entries will only be accepted with correct payment. 12. No refunds will be given after the closing date 21 st May 13. Age of rider will be as of 1 st January 2018 for all classes. 14. The judge s decision is final. 15. Light Horse Trophies & Prize money can be collected at the Light Horse Secretary s tent any time from 11am on the day of the show only.

3 TSR Showing Finals This show is a qualifier for the TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring. TSR In Hand Finals The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at TSR Medal Awards TSR members can collect qualification cards & signatures and redeem for a TSR Medal see TSR website for details. BSHA Grass Roots Champs With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre You do not have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. See Ingliston Elite is a new, prestigious, showing championship for Scotland and the UK. The finals will be held within Ingliston Grand Slam, at Ingliston Country Club, Bishopton, Renfrewshire. Saturday 22 nd September 2018 Excellent prize fund of 350 for each final- 1 st - 3 rd 1000 to the overall Elite Champion Winner takes all! Elite Hunters Elite Riding Horses Elite Cobs This Show is a qualifier and every horse placed 1st to 3rd in all specified classes will qualify to compete in the appropriate class at the Finals. Qualification will be from placings, no qualification cards will be awarded in the ring, and no qualification can go down the line. 4 RING 1 MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND PONIES JUDGE Mrs G McMurray START TIME a.m. PROMPT M & M classes will be run under NPS Rules General NPS Rules a) Spurs are not allowed in any ridden class. b) Brood Mares must be 4 years old or over. c) Foals must accompany mares in the ring and be at least 3 weeks old on the day of the Show. d) All stallions and colts, TWO years old or over, must hold a Stallion Licence unless otherwise governed by the individual Breed Society. Handlers of stallions and colts must have attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January of the current year. Riders of stallions must have attained their 11 th birthday before 1 st January of the current year when riding small breeds and their 14 th birthday when riding large breeds. NPS Scotland Rules 2018 Ponies may only qualify once for each NPS Scotland Competition Final. Ponies that take a second qualifier for the same section will not be allowed to enter the final. All Mountain & Moorland Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective stud book. Part bred, X registered ponies, ponies in the appendices of their main stud book and Eriskays are not eligible. Qualification in the M. & M In Hand Section may go to 3 rd in the Championship. All others may go to no lower than 4 th place. A Judge is not obliged to award an NPS Scotland Finals qualification if he/she feels that the pony is not of a sufficient standard Closing Dates for Entries: Competitors qualifying at Shows held before Monday 4 th June 2018 must send their qualifying cards and entries in by Thursday 28 th June Shows after 5 th June 2018 adhere to a closing date of 1st August 2018 and Late Entries will NOT be accepted. Competitors that qualify at late shows after the 1 st August 2018 are required to the secretary and send in the qualifying cards within 3 days of the show. Cavesson nosebands are the only nosebands permitted in flat ridden classes. Entry for the Finals can only be made by sending the official card duly signed by the Judge at the time of qualifying with your entry form. The OWNER must be or become a member of NPS Scotland before entering the Finals. All ridden ponies must be shown off the lead rein except in the specified Lead Rein Qualifier Class. In Mountain and Moorland classes riders of stallions must be 12 years old or over when riding small breeds (Shetland, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Welsh A & B). For large breeds (Highland, Fell, Dales, Connemara, New Forest, Welsh C & D) riders of stallions must be 14 years old or over. A child must have attained their 12th birthday as of the 1st January in the current year to either strip or lunge pony at a NPS show, except for stallions where age will same as in the Rule Book to ride a stallion. Handlers of stallions or colts must be 14 years old or over. Handlers of ponies in In Hand classes aged 14 years and under must wear a correctly secured skull caps/riding hat that meets the current standards. The Final will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 24 th August NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championships: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 31 st July 2 nd August 2018 Or at the Championship Show in Scotland. Qualifiers may only compete in one Silver Medal final.

NPS/THE MINNS FAMILY M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMR) A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M Ridden section. Membership cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or the qualification.qualifiers are entitled to compete in either the NPS / The Minns Family M&M Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show in Malvern, or at the Championship Show in Scotland. Qualifiers may only compete in one Minns Family final.

Foals are not eligible. The Champion & Res. Champion in all Mixed, pure-bred M & M, or Breed Championships will qualify for the Final which will take place at the Blair Castle International Horse Trials on Friday 24th August Qualification may go to 3rd in the Championship (i.e. 1st Reserve Champion) The winner will be awarded the Bruce Cup, presented by Mr and Mrs F Bruce, Whatnots, Strathblane Classes 5-7 are also qualifiers for the NPS/Highbrook Stud M &M In Hand National Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championships Malvern. M&M In Hand Silver Medal Rosette Championship (SM-MMIH) A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the M&M In Hand section. Riders must be 18yo or over on 1 Jan 2018 You will be asked to jump a course of 8-12 fences approx 3'3" in height. Classes will be judged in line with Sport Horse Breeding Society of GB rules. Hats must conform to the BRC rulebook. The first three partnerships in each qualifier will qualify for the final even if they did not jump clear. If one of the first three has already qualified, their qualification can be passed down to the fourth placed horse and rider provided they jumped clear. To be eligible for the final, the rider must be a member of a riding club affiliated to BRC. CLASS 36 EASTERN BMW / BHS SCOTLAND WORKING HUNTER SERIES 2018 Horses must be 15hh or over, 4 years old and over. Riders must be 18 years old or over. To compete at the final, either the rider or owner of the horse must be a member of the BHS The course: At least 8 and not more than 12 fences, with changes of direction, must be set in a ring large enough to permit jumping fluently at a fair hunting pace. Fences should be rustic or as natural as possible, not easily dislodged, of solid appearance, well filled and with shrubs as wings. Maximum height 3ft 6ins (1.05m), maximum spread 3ft 9ins (1.12m), except open ditch and water. The course should be set at, or near, maximum unless the judge considers that the ground makes this unsafe. Normally at least one upright and one spread must be at maximum. The first THREE qualify for the final, even if they did not jump clear. If one of the first three has already qualified the qualifying card can be passed down to fourth place provided the 4 th placed rider jumped clear.
