Restricted Eligibility Combinations who have NOT qualified for RIHS or HOYS in the current or previous year are eligible for Restricted status. Please wear a white armband. 1st - 4th rosettes will be awarded in each class for combinations that are ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE Restricted Section. 8 SSADL QUALIFIERS FIRST ROUND The Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Home Produced First Round qualifers only are open to both members and non members of SSADL. No Spurs, Galloping, Wearing of Face/Body Jewellery. Foals are NOT permitted in SSADL classes. For in hand classes- minimum age of handler is 9 years. STALLIONS either for in hand or ridden classes, competitors MUST be 16 years of age or over. Grooms if required must by 16 years of age and over. Competitors cannot enter the ring once the command of trot has been given. THE SAME RIDER/HANDLER/PONY/HORSE COMBINATION MUST STAY THE SAME FROM 1 ST /2 ND ROUND QUALIFIERS AND GRAND FINAL. ALL COMPETITORS SHOULD AQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH SSADL RULES BEFORE ENTERING. SSADL RULE BOOK CAN BE FOUND AT 1 st to 3 rd in each class will receive a 10 voucher kindly sponsored by Anthony Evans Insurance SSADL qualification cards and keepsake prize cards 1 st 6 th will be handed out in the ring at the time of presentation. The highest placed exhibit not already qualified withini the first 5 will receive notification of their qualification for the RIHS Young Riders M&M Ridden at the RIHS Hickstead. Qualification will be verified by the Office. Judge: Mrs F Cabroll & Mrs J Carter To be judged on Saturday in Ring Intermediate M&M Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society stud books of Connemara, Dales, Dartmoor, Exmoor, Shetland, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section A, B, C, D. Riders not to have attained their 25 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year. 26. M&M Large Breeds Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society stud books of Connemara, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Welsh Section C & D. Riders not to have attained their 18 th birthday before the 1 st January in the current year. 27. M&M Small Breeds Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. Open to 1 st & 2 nd prize winners from classes 25 & 27 Champion will be eligible for the Ridden Supreme to take place during Saturday Evening Extravaganza Class 28 is open to riders who for showing purposes have not engaged in a training programme for riders/horses/ponies, livery, buying/selling or dealing of horses/ponies as a means of deriving a source of income since 1 August (Please refer to Rule 25 in the current Rule Book). It is expected that exhibitors will enter into the true spirit of this competition and trainers and producers must not enter the ring during the judging process. The directors reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to refuse an exhibitors entry should they be in contravention of this rule in the directors considered opinion. 28. Amateur Stallion, Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over. 13 COLOUREDS RIHS BSPA COLOUREDS Class are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead on Tuesday 25 th July Classes will be judged under BSPA rules which can be downloaded from All horses and ponies must be registered and all owners and riders must be BSPA members prior to the show. Riders age taken from the 1 st January in the current year. Membership and qualification cards must be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Classes are qualifying classes for the 2018 RIHS and only horses registered on the Show Hunter Register are eligible to enter. Registration numbers must be quoted on entry forms and owners and rider must be members of the Society. The two highest placed horses in each class will qualify to enter the RIHS. Day Ticket = 35 (this entitles competitors to compete at a maximum of 2 shows in the year it covers owner & rider membership together with horse registration for that show).
