ALL ENTRIES ACCEPTED UNLESS ADVISED OTHERWISE Will Owners, Exhibitors, Competitors and Attendants Please Note: Rule 7 i), ii) & iii) Condition of Entry i) Horse boxes/trailers are admitted with the relevant vehicle pass and must be parked as directed by Stewards. Cars carrying tack in support of boxes/trailers must enter the Showground via the Horse and Livestock entrance. A Tariff of 12 per Car will be charged for parking within the Horse Section. (Excluding occupants) ii) Every person entering the showground, including drivers of Horse boxes/trailers must have a valid entrance ticket or pay the full price of admission at the gate ( 12). This regulation will be strictly enforced. The show will not take responsibility for any tickets, which may have been mislaid or forgotten. No refunds will be considered unless application is made in writing to the Secretary. All persons on leaving the showground who wish to re-enter must obtain a pass from the Gate Stewards. iii) All owners making exhibit applications through an agent and who wish to attend the show will be required to apply in writing to the Secretary by 3 rd May 2017 for the issue of an exhibitor s ticket. All owners, exhibitors, riders and attendants will be required to have an exhibitor s ticket to gain free access to the showground. No entry will be allowed without a ticket, unless normal gate charges are paid. No refunds will be considered unless application is made in writing to the Secretary. 4 Grand Ring: PRIVATE DRIVING (Affiliated to British Driving Society) Judge: Mrs N. J. Salter (Notts) Class 1: Private Driving noon For Horses and Ponies any height 4 year old and over. To be driven single, pair or tandem to a suitable vehicle. Commercial vehicles and hackney show wagons are not accepted. The class will be split at 13.2hh above and below. This class is a qualifier for the 2017 Osborne Refrigerators BDS National Championships at Driving Addington on 23 rd September. The highest placed turnout owned and driven by a member of the British Driving Society and eligible for the following type section/s disregarding those already qualified down to 6 th place (10 th place for type-sections (n) (o)) in the class will qualify for the 2017 Semi-Finals at Driving Addington. The Championship will immediately follow the Semi-Finals. Type Sections: c) Single non-hackney-type (excluding purebred Reg. Welsh) over 13.2hh. d) Single non-hackney-type (excluding purebred Reg. Welsh) 13.2hh and under. h) Single Registered Mountain & Moorland (excluding Purebred Registered Welsh) i) Pairs & Tandems Open. Any height. n) Single turnout driven by a young driver aged 10-14yrs. o) Single turnout driven by a young driver aged 15-17yrs. This class is a Victoria Food Company Open Private Driving qualifier. The Champion will qualify for the Grand Final, to be held on Sunday 10 th September 2017 at The Wellington Riding Centre, Heckfield, Hook, Hampshire RG27 0LJ. In the event that the Champion has already qualified, then the Reserve Champion to qualify. If the Reserve has qualified, the Rosette to be awarded to the Champion. The Michael Ames Private Driving Trophy to the Champion. The William Anderson Memorial Cup to the Reserve Champion. Entry Fee: 7.00 Prizes: 16, 12, 10, 8. 3

5 Parade Ring DONKEYS Judge: Ms S. Prior (Norfolk) 9.30 am Class 2 Best Condition and Turnout Out: Donkeys of any age and sex: to be judged 75% condition and 25% turnout. Conformation, will not be taken into account. 3 Mares of 4 year old and over and Broodmares of 5 years old and over with own foal at foot, foals to be 6 weeks old or over on show day. 4 Colt or Gelding, two or three year old. 5 Filly, two or three year old. 6 Colt, gelding or Filly, yearling. 7 Stallion or Gelding, four yrs old or over. 8 CHAMPIONSHIP For 1 st and 2 nd prize winners from classes 3 to 7. Classes are open to everyone whether or not they are members of the Donkey Breed Society, but DBS rosettes can only be awarded to exhibits owned by DBS members. The Champion Donkey at this show automatically qualifies for the relevant Championship at the DBS Annual Supreme Championship Show on 19 th - 20 th August 2017 at Moreton Morrell College, Warwickshire, provided it is owned by a fully paid up member of the DBS. Where the In-Hand Champion Donkey has previously qualified, the Reserve Champion Donkey will be deemed the qualifier. The MOULTON Challenge Trophy awarded to the Champion Donkey in the show. A Best Local Donkey rosette, will be presented to the best donkey owned by a DBS member living within a 25 mile radius of the showground, to be judged after the In- Hand Championship. Eligible competitors are asked to wear a coloured armband (preferably BLUE). If there are insufficient entries forward in the Youngstock classes, these classes may be amalgamated into one class for colts and geldings and one class for fillies. 6 SUFFOLK HEAVY HORSES Judge: Mr P. Bundock (Norfolk) This Show is affiliated to the Suffolk Horse Society and classes 9 13 are qualifiers for championship points for the annually awarded trophies; The Centenary Perpetual Challenge Cup, The Robert Peacock Trophy, The Brian Cooper Perpetual Trophy and The Cherrytrees George Murray Trophy The Jenkins Youth Trophy for Young Handlers and for the Supreme Suffolk Horse Championship. The horse that qualifies will be eligible for the final competition, which will take place at the Suffolk Spectacular to be held on 17 th September 2017 at Marks Hall, Coggeshill, Essex. CO6 1TG. All entries for the In-Hand classes must be registered in or eligible for registration in the Pedigree Section of the UK Suffolk Stud Book. All entries must state their SHS registration numbers and full pedigree name including prefix or affix. All foals must be eligible for registration in the Pedigree section of the UK Suffolk Stud Book. Both the sire and the dam must be registered and entered in the pedigree section of the UK Suffolk Stud Book. The MARSTON Challenge Cup awarded to the Champion Suffolk Horse in the Show. The Suffolk Horse Society offer a limited edition rosette to the Champion Suffolk Horse. The Suffolk Gate Company Trophy for the best turned-out Suffolk in the Show (regardless of Class). 7 RING 1 SHOW JUMPING Category Two Schedule Course Builder: Sue Peasley This show is affiliated to the British Show Jumping Association and Classes will be judged in accordance with the 2017 British Showjumping Rule Book. Entries in Classes are restricted to Horses registered with the British Showjumping and must be ridden by British Showjumping members in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79. Rosettes to 10 th place and in the event of insufficient starters, lower prizes may be withheld in accordance with Rule Pre-Entry ONLY All British Showjumping competitors must declare at least 30 minutes prior to those classes in which they are intending to participate (Collecting Ring). Substitutions will be carried out at the Judges box am 17 KBIS INSURANCE SENIOR BRITISH NOVICE First Round. Judged in accordance with Rule 316. Table A.7. Speed 325 mpm. Start height 90cms. Numbers to qualify: Those horses which jump a clear round in the first round, followed by a clear round in the jump-off, in at least four KBIS Insurance British Novice First Round competitions held in any qualifying period will qualify to compete in and attend four KBIS Insurance British Novice Second Rounds, irrespective of their placings for prize money in those competitions, which will be determined by the normal Table A rules (Rule 191). Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. The winner of a particular KBIS Insurance British Novice competition will not automatically qualify solely as a result of that competition. 18 NUPAFEED SUPPLEMENTS SENIOR DISCOVERY CHAMPIONSHIP - First Round. Judged in accordance with Rule 314. Table A.7. Speed 325mpm. Start height 1.00m. To be ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members. a) For horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 225 points. Four Double Clears will qualify in accordance with Rule b) For all horses born on or after 1 January 2011, irrespective of points. Horses in the class must go in to the jump-off and go clear to gain a double clear round qualification. 10 RING 2 PONIES ASSOCIATION (UK) CHAMPIONSHIPS This show is a qualifier for the following P(UK) Championships: A01, A06, A09, A10, A14, A15, A16, A17, A18, A19, and A24 at the 2017 Ponies (UK) Supreme Championship Show to be held at The East of England Showground from 9 th August 2017 and the 2018 P(UK) Winter Classic. Ponies (UK) Registration No: 016/A17/8025 Qualification for PONIES (UK) SUPREME SUMMER FINALS 2017, The P(UK) Winter Classic 2018, Equifest 2017 and BSPA 2017 Finals. 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd placed horses/ponies will qualify for the 2017 P(UK) Supreme Summer Finals, Equifest and BSPA Finals plus the 2018 P(UK) Winter Classic. Competitors in qualifying positions, ARE NOT REQUIRED TO BECOME P(UK) MEMBERS in order to enter the Championship Finals. WORKING HUNTER PONIES Judges: Classes: 23 27: Miss L. Registered in their approved Pure Breed Society stud Book of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland or Welsh Section A, B, C or D. Mare or Gelding 4 years old and over not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained their 12 th birthday before Riders in the Class may compete in the Open and Novice W.H.P. Classes. 30 BSPS OPEN MINI WHP CHAMPIONSHIP. Open to ponies that have been placed first or second in classes 29 and 30. The Champion will qualify for the B.S.P.S WHITE COMPANY Champion of Champion. 31 BSPS Mixed Height Novice W.H.P/Intermediate W.H. Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over, not exceeding 158cms.Riders Must be the correct age for the height of the pony they ride and jump in their correct height section. Riders must declare if they are competing in the 153cms or the Intermediate Section (Rule 39). 32 The B.S.P.S OPEN INTERMEDIATE WORKING HUNTER. R.I.H.S. Qualifier. Mare or Gelding, 4 years or over, exceeding 148cms, and not exceeding 158cms. Rider not to have attained their 25 th birthday before B.S.P.S OPEN WORKING HUNTER PONY. R.I.H.S. Qualifier. Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over exceeding 143cms but not exceeding 153cms. Riders not to have attained their 20 th birthday before B.S.P.S OPEN WORKING HUNTER PONY. R.I.H.S. Qualifier. Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over exceeding 133cms but not exceeding 143cms. Riders not to have attained their 17 th birthday before B.S.P.S OPEN WORKING HUNTER PONY. R.I.H.S. Qualifier. Mare or Gelding, 4 years old and over not exceeding 133cms. Riders not to have attained their 14 th birthday before CHAMPIONSHIP First prize winners of the above four classes to compete for The Mrs M Challenge Cup. First prize winners of the above four classes to compete for the Championship. The Champion will qualify for the BINKS FAMILY Champion of Champions. The first four in Classes 28 qualify for THE BSPS PREMIER LEAGUE COMPETITION, the final to be held at the BSPS Championship Show. Entry Fees: Classes and 31: 9.00 Prizes: Classes and 31: 14, 12, 10 Entry Fees: Classes 29, 32 35: Prizes: 26, 15, 10. The entry fee for Classes 29, includes a 9.00 RIHS levy. 10

12 RING 3: IN - HAND POTENTIAL SPORT HORSE (Unaffiliated) Classes 37 41: Suspended for 2017 SIDE SADDLE EQUITATION CLASSES (Run under S.S.A. Rules as stated in the current Members Handbook) Judge: Miss B. Wale (Leics) Not before am. Class 42 THE SIDE SADDLE ASSOCIATION EQUITATION CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFYING OPEN CLASS. Open to S.S.A Members and Non-Members. Members carrying their current Championship Point Cards are eligible for S.S.A rosettes to third Adult and third Junior places and S.S.A. Championship Points. Southernden Farm offers a rosette to the highest placed Member under 14 on 1 st January of the current year. Side Saddle International offer a rosette to the Adult Member and Manor Grange Stud Show Centre to the Junior Member, judged to be the best turned out. 43 BEST HORSE OR PONY RIDDEN SIDE SADDLE. Open to horses and ponies, four year old and over: conformation and manners will be taken into consideration; horses/ponies will not be stripped. A Special rosette to the highest placed Adult and Junior Members of the S.S.A carrying their current Championships Points Card. 44 SIDE SADDLE CONCOURS d ÉLÉGANCE. The sole criterion for this class is the elegance of the picture presented by horse and rider. Attention may be paid to the rider s personal appearance but detailed inspection of rider or tack is not required. Fancy dress or period costume is not permitted. Competitors are required to walk, trot and canter. No individual show is required, but the Judge may ask groups of three or four riders to give short displays. 4 Special rosettes will be awarded; to the highest placed Adult Members wearing a silk hat, bowler hat, safety hat and the highest placed Junior Member of the S.S.A. carrying their current Championship Points Card. N.B. Silk hats are permitted to be worn by Adults IN THIS CLASS AT ANY TIME OF DAY. Juniors must wear hats to current British Safety standards or above for this class. Adult riders not wearing such hats do so at their own risk. Entry Fees: Classes 42, 43 & 44: 9.00 Prizes: 16, 14, 12,

13 Class: 45 THE THOROUGHBRED RIDDEN SHOW HORSE. Judges: Conformation/Ride: TBC The class although not affiliated to the RoR will be run under the general rules of The RoR. All entries MUST be registered with Weatherbys in their General Stud Book. Mare or Gelding, 4years old and over, exceeding 153cms. Riders must be 15 years or over. Horses should be ridden in a snaffle, pelham or simple double bridle. Horses should be plaited. Horses will be ridden by the Judge. The class is open to thoroughbreds that have raced or been in training for a minimum of three months. Please supply a photocopy of the front page of the passport for proof of registration and age for the veteran prize. Prize will be awarded for the highest placed veteran, 13 years or over. 46 THE THOROUGHBRED IN HAND SHOW HORSE. Conditions for entry as for class 45. Prize will be awarded for the highest placed veteran, 13 years or over. Entry Fees: Class 45 & 46: 9.00 Prizes Classes 45 & 46: 14, 12, 10. BRITISH SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD ASSOCIATION Royal International Horse Show Qualifiers 2017 These classes are affiliated to the British Skewbald and Piebald Association and are qualifiers for the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead, Tuesday 25 th July Classes will be judged under BSPA rules, copies of which can be obtained from ALL horses/ponies must be registered and all owners and riders members of BSPA prior to the show. Rider age is taken as 1 st January. Membership and Qualification cards MUST be carried in the ring by competitors and produced as required for inspection or signature. Failure to do so will mean disqualification. Spurs may not be worn in any pony class. All Ponies 153cms and under (Shetlands exempt) must posses a current JMB height certificate. All Stallions MUST be graded and licensed by BSPA or have a BSPA Showing Permit (contact BSPA for Stallion show permit information) for 217 and have a BSPA stallion ID card and wear a BSPA Stallion Disc. No rider under 14 yrs may exhibit a stallion in any class. NO Competitor/Owner/Horse may compete in this class or enter the ring without current 2017 membership of BSPA and a RIHS Qualification Card. Qualification: 1 st place and the next unqualified competitor standing 2 nd or 3 rd qualify from each class. No competitor may qualify from lower than 3 rd place. BSPA Office; ; bspashows@gmail.com. 28 SOUTH SUFFOLK AGRICULTURAL ASSOCIATION CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1) All entries must be made in writing to the Secretary on the requisite form and accompanied by the necessary entry fees. Every exhibitor making entries for the show shall be deemed to have agreed to abide by the Conditions of Entry and it is only on this understanding that entries are accepted. 2) The Committee reserves the right to refuse any entry. 3) The entry fee for any animal entered and not exhibited will be forfeited. Entry fees in respect of all entry cancellations owing to accident or illness will be refunded in accordance with British Showjumping Rule 79.5 and requires confirmation in writing of the cancellation. 4) Entries close on Wednesday 26 th April 2017, No entries on day. NO SUBSTITUTIONS or class changes allowed after printing of the catalogue WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE BRITISH SHOWJUMPING CLASSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE The Association will not be responsible for any error, which may appear in the Catalogue, or for any entry being made in the wrong class. 5) Competitors may be disqualified from any Class for not observing the rules or causing unnecessary delay to the continuity of the show. A fall of horse/pony or rider in any class will result in disqualification and the rider must leave the ring dismounted. (It is strongly recommended that medical advice be sought before competing in any other class.) 6) Ponies competing in this show shall be deemed to be subject to the Rules and Regulations of the relevant affiliated Association/Society under which the class/s are being held. 7) i) Horse boxes/trailers are admitted with the relevant vehicle pass and must be parked as directed by Stewards. Cars carrying tack in support of boxes/trailers must enter the Showground through the Horse & Livestock entrance. A Tariff of 10 per Car will be charged for parking within the Horse Section. (excluding occupants) ii) Every person entering the showground, including drivers of Horse boxes/trailers must have a valid entrance ticket or pay the full price of admission at the gate ( 12). This regulation will be strictly enforced. The show will not take responsibility for any tickets, which may have been mislaid or forgotten. No refunds will be considered unless application is made in writing to the Secretary. All persons on leaving the showground who wish to reenter must obtain a pass from the Gate Stewards. No Pass - No Re-Entry unless admission fee is paid. iii) All owners making exhibit applications through an agent and who wish to attend the show will be required to apply in writing to the Secretary by 26 th April 2017 for issue of an exhibitor s ticket. All owners, exhibitors, competitors and attendants will be required to have an exhibitors ticket to gain free access to the showground. No entry will be allowed without a ticket, unless normal gate charges are paid. No refunds will be considered unless application is made in writing to the Secretary. Horse Exhibitor Entrance Ticket Entitlement: No of Exhibits Exhibitor Tickets & over 6 27

29 Additional tickets may be sent at the discretion of the show if more than 6 animals have been entered, please ensure that you have enough tickets. Additional tickets may be purchased from the Secretary at reduced rates prior to 26 th April ) Competitors Numbers, Vehicle Pass and Exhibitors Tickets will be sent by post, prior to the day of the Show. 9) No timetable of events will be issued and changes may be made to ring allocations. The Association will not be responsible for exhibits not arriving on time to be judged. 10) If, for any reason, a judge is unable to attend the show or is more than 30 minutes late, the Association reserves the right to appoint a Deputy. Every effort will be made to inform exhibitors. 11) i) Prize money will be paid on the day up to 5.30 pm, by the Treasurer, only on receipt of the prize card issued in the Ring. Prizes not claimed by this time will be settled by cheque within 28 days on receipt of the relevant prize card by the show. ii) Prize money will awarded under the following guideline. Rosettes at the Judges' discretion. The Judges and Stewards have discretion to withhold or vary the first and other prizes should the quality of the entry or entries not merit such a prize. (iii) Should insufficient entries be received for any one class, the Organisers reserve the right to reduce the number of prizes in that class or combine two or more classes forward on the Show day. (iv) Classes 17 to 23 are held under British Showjumping Rules and in the event of insufficient starters lower prizes may be withheld in accordance with Rule (v) Winners must sign for their Cup or Trophy at the Secretary's Office before taking them from the Showground. All Cup/Trophy winners will be required to return them on request before the next Show. Special Note: Competitors are advised that due to past difficulties, any cup won may be collected and signed for only by the winner or member of his/her immediate family. 12) Objections must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of 10 handed to the Secretary within five minutes of the finish of the event concerned. (or 100 for objections in British Showjumping classes). 13) Horses must be walked from the Horsebox parking area to the working in area, collection and show rings, by the horse walkways and defined routes. NO TROTTING OR CANTERING WILL BE ALLOWED IN Walkways or Defined Routes. Any breach of this rule may result in the offender being asked to leave the show. 14) Horses when not competing must be kept away from all rings. 28

30 15) Competitors and Grooms at all times when riding a horse or pony must wear headgear of the relevant British Standard acceptable to the H.S.E., and their affiliated Association. Such headgear, where applicable, must be worn with the chinstrap properly adjusted and fastened. 16) The playing of ball games or participation in any activity that may excite an animal is strictly not allowed within the horse and livestock lines or those areas set aside as practice or exercise areas. 17) The Organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone should take reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents and must obey the instructions of the Show Committee and all the Officials and Stewards. 18) In the event of a competitor, or anyone connected with a competitor, being guilty of improper or abusive behaviour towards his or her animal, any Official of the Association or the general public, the Chairman, Secretary or Show Steward shall have the power to order the offender to leave the Showground and recommend that the Show shall refuse that person s entry for future shows. 19) The Association reserves the sole right of decision to postpone, cancel, abandon or curtail the show. Where such decisions arises, from directive, happenings or circumstances outside the control of the Association, it shall not create liability to claim for loss or damage. The refund of fees will be at the discretion of the Association. 20) Disclaimer of Liability: In this clause, the term Exhibitor shall include persons taking part in any competition or display arranged by the Show Committee, and the owner of any animal, plant, machinery or other thing involved in any such competition or display or otherwise exhibited on the Showground. Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Committee, its servants or agents, the Committee will not be responsible for death, injury, disease, damage or loss caused to any exhibitor or to his servant or agent or to any animal, article, plant, machinery or thing of whatever nature brought on to Showground by the said exhibitor from whatever cause death, injury, disease, damage or loss arises. Save as aforesaid the exhibitor shall indemnify the Committee against all claims, damages, and expenses whatsoever in any way arising out of the presence of the exhibitor, his servant, agents, exhibits, vehicles or equipment on the Showground and shall assume full responsibility therefore. Exhibitors must have insurance against any third party claims and acknowledge that they are taking part in a risk sport and that they are a competent person within the level of competition, which they are about to or be taking part in. Acceptance of the foregoing provision shall be a condition of entry. Safety The Organisers of this show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present.
