This will help to speed up the registration process and keep us all smiling! A cc ess to the grounds is from 7:00 a m. P ayment can be made by direct deposit prior to the event (please bring a copy of the p ayment advice with you). I f a ring is running behind time the committee reserve the right to move a breed to another ring. S tallions and Colts must be under control at all times. They must be wearing suitable and substantial head gear. The age of the handler must be as per each respe ctive Breed Society Regulation. I f a Judge or the Show Committee deems an E xhibit t o be unruly it will be required to leave the grounds. This rule is in the interest of the s afety of all competitors, spectators and officials and must be abided b y. R iders must wear a current approved safety helmet and riding boots at all times whilst mounted on their horse or pony. P roof of Registration must accompany your entry and should be available if requested on the day. I f required by your Breed, Height c ertificates should be c urrent and should be a vailable if requested. Age of the Rider and Handler will be as at the day of the event. Proof of a ge may be requested. E xhibits with multiple Registrations may compete in all eligible classes AND Other Registered Breeds only if their r egistration is not covered in any of the other rin gs. I t is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure they are ringside in time to compete in their class. If classes clash it is the responsibility of t he competitor to choose which event they will compete in. Classes will not be held up. T he decision of the Judge is final. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Failure to abide by this and any of our other rules may lead to d isqualification and the forfeiture of entry fees. Protests must be made in writing to be referred to the Ground Jury. A deposit of $50 must be made to lodge the protest and this will be non- r efundable if the protest is not upheld. P rotests must be lodged with the Event Organiser o r their nominated r epresentative within 15 minutes o f the conclusion of the class i n question. R efunds (less administration costs) will only be made on production of a Medical or Veterinary Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be s upplied to the Organising Committee w ithin 5 days of the Event. S upreme of Supremes will be selected from the Supreme Champion of each Section. H orse or Pony 3 years and under H andy Halter Horse & Pony D ressage Arena 9. 00am to 12 noon T he Han dy Halter Horse & Pony Competition is a competition of obedience whilst negotiating an obstacle course. The handler should be able to confidently and h appily ask their horse/pony to approach unusual objects without stress. T he Competition will be open fro m 8.30am to 12 noon. It is the responsibility of the competitor to complete their course between their other events. T he course may include b ut is not limited to t he following obstacles: A 30cm jump, walking through a deli curtain, a maze or bending poles, pick up and carry an o bject from point A to point B, open and shut a gate, walk over a bridge, walk over a tarpaulin, perform a rein back. R ules A n in hand halter or snaffle bridle is preferred. A noseband other than a cavesson will be permitted but will be marked down by 4 points from the final score. W hips are not allowed. The horse/pony will be eliminated if they are hit with anything before, during or after the course is completed (this includes the hands, l eadrope, a whip or a piece of the course e quipment). A ll obstacles must be negotiated as per the instructions and the map of the course or the combination may be eliminated. One or two refusals at an obstacle w ill incur penalties. Refusal to negotiate three obstacles will result in elimination. If the horse/pony refuses to negotiate an obstacle, after a reasonable number o f attempts, the Judge will blow a whistle or otherwise indicate that the rider must go around the obstacle and continue the r est of the course. H andlers must present to the Ju dge and advise them of which class they are competing. H andlers 8 years and under may have an adult with them for safety and assistance. T his is a timed event with an optimum time and time penalties will be incurred.
