EVENT DETAILS EVENT TITLE THE 2018 FISU WORLD UNIVERSITY KARATE CHAMPIONSHIN KOBE, JAPAN COMPETITION DATE July 18th ~ 22nd, 2018 (Competition day July 19th 22nd, 2018) COMPETITION CATEGORIES & MODALITIES: Program: Each country is authorized to enter a maximum of twenty-nine (29) competitors (sixteen (16) men and thirteen (13) women) and five (5) officials. Each athlete and coach must be able to provide evidence of WKF membership KATA For men and women: - Individual events: one (1) competitor per country - Team events: three (3) competitors per country KUMITE I. Individual events: Individual events: a maximum of one (1) competitor in each category - Men: bouts duration: three (3) minutes -60kg, -67 kg, -75 kg, -84 kg, +84 kg - Women: bouts duration: two (2) minutes -50kg, -55kg, -61kg, -68kg, +68kg II. Team events - Men: a team comprises seven (7) members with five (5) competing in a round. - Women: a team comprises four (4) members with three (3) competing in a round. *No Video Review is applied. 8 6. RULE: WKF RULES The Karate competitions shall be organised in accordance with the current World Karate Federation (WKF) rules. In case of disagreement in the interpretation of these rules, the English text shall be regarded as authoritative. 7. 11 1 Bay Shuttle boarding place AMENDED Bay Shuttle will be used as a means of transportation from Kansai International airport to the hotels and from the hotels to Kansai International airport.
