The final will be held at Racing Kart de Cormeilles track (RKC), situated in Cergy-Pontoise close to Paris, FRANCE. You will meet there the 280 worldwide best drivers of the SWS and defend your chance to win the title of SWS 2016 international champion! 4 Presentation of the event Since 2009, the SODI WORLD FINALS reward the world s best SWS drivers. In 2016, more than drivers have been driving on all SWS partner tracks, in 50 different countries. For the 2017 Sodi World Finals, qualifiers will be 1 : 80 drivers in SPRINT CUP SWS 40 teams in 12h ENDURANCE CUP SWS 40 drivers in JUNIOR CUP SWS The event will be held at the Racing Kart Cormeilles track (details on page 6). The competition will be organized as follows: Administrative check-in & Briefing (presence is mandatory for ALL drivers & teams for the administrative check-in) o Sprint Cup : o Junior Cup : o Endurance Cup : Thursday 25th at 6:00pm Friday 26th at 10:00am Friday 26th at 2:00pm 2 full days of SPRINT CUP SWS races A 12h ENDURANCE CUP SWS 2 full days of JUNIOR CUP SWS races Animations will be proposed the whole week-end for drivers & guests A closing ceremony will end up the week-end on Saturday night. Participation fees to this ceremony are offered by SODIKART to all drivers. Any accompaniers will also be welcome on this evening, and can register at cost (among availability, see page 13). Registration must be completed for each driver and team before April 15 th After this date, any driver who is not registered and did not contact the organization SWS (contact@sodiwseries.com) will be replaced and his ticket granted to another driver. 1 Nb : the organizer reserves the right to modify the quotas of drivers SWF Driver Book - eng 4/13

5 Selection process SPRINT CUP SWS o 10 first international drivers o 3 first international women drivers o 1 first international driver per age group (3 drivers) o National drivers from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing SPRINT races (cf. SWS regulations) ENDURANCE CUP o 10 first international teams o National teams from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing ENDURANCE races (cf. SWS regulations) JUNIOR CUP o 8 first international drivers o 2 first international women drivers o National drivers from each country represented by one or more SWS track(s) organizing JUNIOR races (cf. SWS regulations) I. ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSES a. VISA If you are not resident of the Schengen area, you will need a VISA. The request for a Schengen VISA should be addressed to the French embassy of your country: To help you get your VISA, the Sodi World Finals organizer can provide you a letter of invitation. If needed, please kindly send ASAP a written request to the following address: contact@sodiwseries.com b. 6 II. THE PLACE a. The track The RKC is the biggest karting center in all Europe and considered as one of the most beautiful on earth: the perfect place to organize a World Final! The track is composed by 3 tracks on 10 hectares. b. Geographical localization: The track is situated in France, in the North-West of Paris. The closest city is Cergy, in the Val d Oise department (95). The weather is oceanic temperate and the average temperature in May is around 18 C. SWF Driver Book - eng 6/13

7 c. Reaching the track The drivers (and their guests) are responsible of their transport to the tracks. No transport will be organized by the SWS organizer. Plane There are 2 airports in Paris ( : - Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG) situated 30min away from the track - Orly (ORY) situated 1 hour away from the track A «low-cost» airport is also situated close to the track ( - Aéroport Paris-Beauvais-Tillé situated 50min away from the track (up north) Car The track is situated about 30 minutes in the North-West of Paris. 9 d. Accommodation The organizer of the SODI WORLD FINALS has negotiated some special prices by 4 different hotels, each of them representing a distinctive price range. These hotels are close to each other and about 10/15min away from the track (10km). These hotels are given only for information and the driver and its eventual guests are totally free in the choice of accommodation. The accommodation is at the charge of the driver. 12 III. PACKAGE Drivers and teams qualified to the SODI WORLD FINALS must pay entry fees, depending the category. The access to the circuit (public zones) will be authorized and free to the guests. a. SWS SPRINT CUP The entry fee is 750 incl. VAT per driver. This amount includes: - The use of all equipment & infrastructures - 2 days of competition on RX250 gokarts - Meals + beverages for the driver on the track b. 12H SWS ENDURANCE CUP The entry fee is incl. VAT per team (3 or 4 drivers). This amount includes: - The use of all equipment & infrastructures - A 12h races on a new gokart model - Meals + beverages for the team on the track c. SWS JUNIOR CUP The entry fee is 450 incl. VAT per driver. This amount includes: - The use of all equipment & infrastructures - 2 days of competition on LR5 unregulated gokarts - Meals + beverages for the driver on the track All drivers participating to the event are invited by SODIKART to the closing ceremony of the event. The accompaniers are also welcome on this evening. Registrations will be made directly on our website: from the driver s account (or team manager s account if ENDURANCE CUP). 13 d. Closing ceremony At the end of the races, the drivers are invited for a prestigious closing ceremony. All details about this ceremony will be communicated through a separate document, published on the SWS website in the 2017 Final s page. Qualified drivers are invited by SODIKART (but must absolutely confirm their participation while registering to the event). Accompaniers are also welcome, among availability and for a fixed price of 130 per person (to be paid directly during the registration of the driver). IV. EQUIPMENT Each driver participating to the SODI WORLD FINALS should have their own equipment, including: - A helmet (helmets could also be provided by the track) - A driver s suit - A neck brace - Gloves - Ankles boots - A seat insert if needed (seat inserts will be permitted) MAY THE BEST WIN!
