2 Message from the Organisation Committee The IFMAR World Championship 1/8 th IC Track to be held from August 13 th until the 23 rd is organised by the club Mini Racing Ticino and Moesa MRTM and in cooperation of the Switzerland Federation Swiss R/C Car Clubs Association SRCCA. For this event the track in Lostallo in the South of Switzerland has been selected. The track is distinguished to be the longest and fastest track with generous premises in Switzerland and one of the biggest well know track in Europe. A lot of international events European Championship and a World Championship with EFRA and IFMAR compliance have already been held in responsibility of MRTM in the recent years, so the organisation committee can guarantee an improved experience with this performance licence. We are proud of having the occasion to carry out one of the biggest event - the 1/8 th IC Track World Championship and we will assure that the event is well run, well supported and well advertised. For your accommodation choices, also driver s party and banquet dinner we have chosen the San Bernardino region in the North. This region is well known for winter- and summer sport and experienced in handling big tourism. We are sure that you will feel you very comfortable in this giant atmosphere of the Swiss alps and their leisure offers. This report describes the concept of the organisational functions and the general proceeding of the event during 13 th until 23 rd August Besides this you will find information about accommodations and entertainments. 4 Registration and Decisions Registration Warm Up Race th th The Warm Up Race is scheduled June 2009 and is an invitation to practice for the international professionals preparing for the World Championship 2009 in August 13 th until the 23 rd. Online Registration for the Warm Up Race Web menu item upcoming events. Further information for the Warm Up Race are written in the invitation paper for the Warm Up Race. For advisers we have prepared a special discount for this race including the presence of the World Championship referred to documentation Sponsoring Registration World Championship Registrations will be handled through the IFMAR responsible blocs. Rules The Warm Up race will follow the IFMAR rules for 1:8 IC Track 2009 with an adjusted timetable. The World Championship will follow the IFMAR rules for 1:8 ICTrack Fuel decision The fuel is decided and will be provided by Team Orion. The fuel is labelled with the following world champions label and only this is valid at the world championship. The Warm Up Race is a good chance to take the opportunity to use this fuel. (Swiss and Euro conformed) From the driver s rostrum the paddock are located left and right handed in symmetry to each 75 places. All tables are equipped with at least 2 connector boxes doubled layered. Be aware in hotels there are only Swiss plugs present! Use of Frequencies We have an extraordinary agreement with the Swiss federation government BACOM in writing contract form to use all listed frequencies. In general you can use all FM modulation and PPM Pulse modulation transmitters and spectral modulated transmitters. Namely for Spectrum 2.4 MHz FM/PPM 27 khz Band FM/PPM 40 khz Band, except FM/PPM 41 khz Band FM/PPM 72 khz Band Not allowed and expressed clearly are AM Modulation 35 MHz Band and again not the frequency khz (this frequency is strictly reserved for the greyhound track). page 8/19
