1 AUGUST 2009 NEWS & VIEWS Club Members, Here we are again as another month has passed. It seems like Friday nights are looking good. Let s hope for some good weather to keep the cruise lot going. It s been nice to see all the members at the shows. We ve been getting more cars at the Bakery Express for our Sunday morning cruise spot. If you haven t been there you should try it. Thanks to Russ Richards for putting together the great cruise we went on to Pennsylvania. Let s keep up the great work that you all are doing. WE HAD A LARGE GROUP THAT LEFT DONUT EXPRESS AND CRUSIED UP TO THE MUSEUM WHERE WE HAD A GUIDED TOUR. AFTERWARDS WE DROVE AROUND THE DIRT RACE TRACK AND THEN CRUISED TO THE GETTYSBURG OUTLETS FOR SHOPPING AND THEN ONTO BULLOCKS FOR DINNER. WE ALL THANK RUSS FOR PUTTING THIS TOGETHER AND LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT CRUISE. President, Kenny stated that Chris did another great job with the show at St. Casimir. The donation bucket collected $ Chris presented the Club with a plaque,thanking us for making it a success. It was a great day. Bill Grammer had a great turnout for the Rebels Show, another great show to attend. Veterans Show is Nov. 8, 2009-we are looking for sponsors for trophies, $15.00 or 2/$ Forms are in your Newsletter. This is a big show and we need plenty of help. T-shirts - $13.00, new order blank in the Newsletter. Colors are tan, red, gray & black & blue. See Tim Shue if you want to order. No Sunshine Girl report-we miss you Santa. Let her know if anyone is in need of a card. Mary read letters from the Veterans thanking us for everything we do for them. The Memorial Day car display is another great event to attend. Plan to be there next year, it s very rewarding. Russ is planning a cruise and is looking for suggestions of where else you would like to cruise. Pikesville Day is Aug. 23 and Big Cam and The Lifters is the band. Let Rick know if you are planning to go so they can arrange parking. THERE WERE OVER 60 VEHICLES AND AFTER THE PARADE WAYNE AND FAYE INVITED EVERYONE BACK FOR A LUNCH. THEY GO ALL OUT FOR THIS AND MAKE EVERYONE FEEL WELCOME. 5 5 DEL RODS DOVER AIR FORCE MUSEUM SHOW JULY 18 We had 19 Cars registered for the show. The weather could not have been better. Thanks to Rick Woolridge for organizing the cruise to the show. WE HAD THE BIGGEST CLUB THERE AND 5 MEMBERS TOOK AWARDS, BOB, JANET, JIM, JAMES & TOM CLUB PICNIC SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13, ALL CLUB MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILY ARE INVITED TO OUR CLUB PICNIC WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE AVALON SHELTER #105. THE CLUB WILL SUPPLY HAMBURGERS, HOTDOGS, FIXINGS, PAPER GOODS AND DRINKS. THE CLUB IS PAYING FOR THE SHELTER BUT THERE IS A $2.00 PER PERSON FEE AT THE GATE. EACH MEMBER & FAMILY IS ASKED TO BRING A COVERED DISH, SALAD OR DESSERT TO FEED 6 PEOPLE. WE ALWAYS HAVE PLENTY SO YOU DON T HAVE TO BRING EXTRA.
