1 May, 2016 Volume 36 Issue 5 What a beautiful day we had for our visit to Vanguards. The sun was shining and the temperature was near perfect. With a great turnout of 40 or more WWTC members, with a few of them driving their own classic cars. WOW what a sight as we were able to stroll through the warehouse with all of the fantastic cars on display. Among the cars were a black 1967 Thunderbird with suicide doors, Candy Apple Red 1952 Ford Tudor Sedan and a 1965 Ford Econoline that a few of the members mentioned that they may have seen the program where they built and customized it. There was also Mustangs, Corvettes, GTO s, Chevelle s, and Roadrunners. I m sure more than a few of you found the car of your dreams. We then drove the few miles to Karl s Cabin to have a good meal, great conversation and all around good company. Romulus, MI Joannbill801@comcast.net May 14, the Grosse Ile Bicycle Museum located at 8802 Macomb St. Grosse Ile has a display of a variety of bicycles and memorabilia dating back to the early 1800 s. Over 150 bicycles will be set up for bicycle enthusiasts to enjoy. There is signage for most of the displays with information about the bike the era it comes from etc. Think what fun this would be to tour this bicycle shop. Add to the fact that it may also be a bit educational to boot. You are not going to want to miss this event Then off to Mom s restaurant located at 2691 Fort St, Trenton for lunch If you are interested in attending this event please RSVP by May 8th. Take West Rd to Allen Rd where you will make a right turn onto Allen Rd. Take Allen Rd to Van Horn Rd you will make a left onto Van Horn Rd. Take Van Horn Rd where you will make a left onto West Jefferson and then a quick right onto Grosse Ile Pkwy. Take Grosse Ile Pkwy to Meridian Rd turn left Take Meridian Rd to Macomb St turn right and the Bicycle shop will be on the left hand side.
