Before you know it the snow will all be melted off the paths and members will be advertising impromptu rides to legendary eating establishments. METRO GRAND SPRING TOUR: You can always tell when Spring is round the corner when you get your first organized ride brochure. This year the Metro Grand Spring Tour will celebrate their 31st consecutive season ride hosted by the Downriver Cycling Club. Put the date in your calendar for Sunday, May 4, You can register online at or request and application from them at their website early registration closes Wed. April 23. PAUL WILHELM RIDES: Paul mentioned at the March meeting that he is planning the following luxury rides for the year: May Xenia Ohio for 5-7 days June Alpena MI from the 20 22nd July UP Ride July 14-22nd To find out more about these extended tours give Paul a call to let him know you are interested in any or all of these rides. Mark your calendars and start preparing for all the fun. The Slow Spokes annual 4th of July picnic will be at Pavilion #2 on Saturday July 5th. Don Windhorst was able to reserve the use of the pavilion for the entire day. We usually have a bike ride or two along with picnic dinner and lots of games.

The ride will be from Virginia- Probably Charlottesville to Carbondale Illinois. It will be about 3 weeks long and something around 1000 miles. If interested contact Ed via phone or . Dec As our club goes into our last month of the 1985 cycling season, the Michigan outdoors will be offering the best time of the year. We can see Fall's pretty scenery with cooler temperatures. 4 A Ride of Interest: 5th Annual Dawn Farm Ride for Recovery WHEN: Sunday, April 27, 2014, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (on-site registration will open at 7:00 am.)
