Organised by the College of Optometrists, the UK s professional and examining body for optometrists, Optometry Tomorrow 2018 will be marketed to more than 15,000 members. The 2017 conference was our biggest and best yet, attracting more than 900 attendees - that s a 12.5% increase on last year. 25% of delegates were independent practice owners, 746 were UK optometrists and more than 200 delegates had never attended the event before. What makes Optometry Tomorrow the go-to clinical conference for the sector? It is delivered by the College of Optometrists, the sector s professional body. It provides high-quality CET in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops and peer discussions from well-respected, expert speakers in their field. You may like to sponsor a session, series of sessions, or a whole stream that is relevant to your organisation. The conference welcome reception, taking place on Saturday 17 March from 6-8pm at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, is an excellent opportunity for all attendees to network before the conference begins on Sunday. 13 Exhibition opportunities Optometry Tomorrow is the perfect setting to expose your brand, products and services to hundreds of UK optometric professionals who are keen to learn about the latest industry developments. At the welcome drinks reception in the exhibition hall on Saturday night, exhibitors will have the opportunity to network with delegates in a social environment ahead of the conference. During the conference, refreshments will be served to delegates and exhibitors three times each day in the exhibition hall to ensure maximum exposure. Exhibitors are encouraged to invite local contacts along to the exhibition free of charge (if they re not attending the event already!). Exhibition hall Monarch Suite The exhibition and all meeting rooms, including sponsor sessions, will be located on the ground floor of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. The exhibition will take place in the Monarch Suite, which has its own entrance. The suite provides 1,300m 2 of space, with plenty of room for both delegates and exhibitors. We have designed the floor plan in conjunction with the hotel and our sponsors, and have included plenty of seating, poster presentation areas and multiple catering points to encourage good foot traffic across the conference. 18 Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel The NEC Birmingham, Pendigo Way, Birmingham, B40 1PP Travelling to Birmingham The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is situated next to the NEC, Genting Arena, Birmingham International train station and Birmingham Airport. The hotel is located 200 yards from junction 6 of the M42 motorway and A45. The hotel runs a courtesy bus from Birmingham International train station which takes five minutes. It takes around 10 minutes to walk from the station to the hotel. There is a limited number of exhibitor passes for certain size stands no more than four representatives can attend for those occupying stands up to 8m 2, eight representatives for stands at 12m 2, ten representatives for 18m 2 and 12 representatives for 20m 2. The interactive session at the exhibition stand will only go ahead if enough delegates sign up if it is cancelled for any reason, you will receive a full refund of 600+VAT.
