4 CONFERENCE CONTEXT Both the disability and aged care industries are undergoing significant reform, with the promise of increased client choice and control. This presents opportunities for aged care and disability providers as well as the broader corporate sector to increase the scope of their offering and cater to the changing needs of this population. Australia s ageing population means more services will be needed as the sector expands over the coming years. Only fifty years ago, people aged 65 and over accounted for just 8 per cent of the population. Today, it is estimated that more than 15 per cent of the population is aged 65 and older, with this number forecast to increase to 23 per cent by The rollout of the NDIS is expected to support 480,000 people nationally, with a significant number of participants receiving support for the first time. To meet this growing demand and provide adequate support, an additional 29,000 staff will be required in Queensland alone. Older Australians and people with disability are a growing force in the marketplace. 14 SPONSORSHIP CONDITIONS Payment Terms First instalment (50%) on confirmation of sponsorship Final instalment (50%) required by 1 February 2017 Confirmation and Contact Details To confirm sponsorship: Should you wish to confirm a sponsorship, please contact ADA Australia on the details below. Cancellation Policy If the event is cancelled by the organiser less than 4 months before the event, the sponsor is entitled to a 75% refund. If the event is rescheduled by the organiser, and the sponsors can reasonably demonstrate their inability to participate, they will be entitled to a full refund. In the event of sponsor or exhibitor cancellation, ADA Australia reserves the right to retain monies paid in full unless the sponsorship is resold. Any cancellations must be advised in writing.
