2 A Message from the Muster 2018 Conference Co-Chairs Flinders University is pleased to announce the Global Community Engaged Medical Education Muster The conference will be held in Mount Gambier, South Australia from October 2018 at venues surrounding the Cave Gardens, right in the heart of the CBD. The 2018 Muster is the sixth conference to be hosted by Flinders University and Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Partners in presenting the 2018 Muster include James Cook University, Federation of Rural Australian Medical Educators (FRAME), Training for Health Equity Network (THEnet), Consortium of Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (CLIC) and the University of Wollongong. The Organising Working Group would like to welcome your organization/company as a contributing sponsor for this highly anticipated event. The overall goal of The Muster 2018 is to convene health professionals, educators, students, and researchers from all parts of the world. Muster 2018 builds upon a series of international conferences on Community Engaged Medical Education, and we expect to have 250+ delegates attending from right around the world. They will have the opportunity to share experiences, opportunities, and challenges of community participation in education, service, and research. Our organising working group is working very closely with experts in the field of community based medical education to ensure that we put together a very strong program with outstanding keynote speakers and concurrent sessions to satisfy broad interest. 3 The Muster 'Muster' is a term primarily used in Australia to refer to the roundup of livestock. However, it can also refer to the calling forth of people to a gathering. The Muster' will bring together internationally recognised leaders in community engaged medical education and will stimulate important discussions about key concepts and practices at the forefront of medical education, including longitudinal learning, community engagement, social accountability and Aboriginal health. 5 Exhibition Opportunities By exhibiting at The Muster 2018 conference you will have access to a focused group of professionals working and studying in community engaged medical education. There are a limited number of booths available at Muster 2018, so please register as soon as possible to secure your place. Booth rate: $1,500 per booth per day $3,000 per booth for 3 days The 2018 Muster will take place in the Mount Gambier central CBD surrounding the Cave Gardens. Keynote speakers will present each morning and afternoon in the Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre. Exhibitors will have excellent access to delegates with booths situated in the theatre foyer. Exhibit dates: October 2018 Exhibit Hours: 10am-3pm Bump-in: by 4pm day prior to display Bump-out: by 3:30pm Included in Exhibit rate: 1-2 Tables and 2 chairs Lunch Refreshments in the morning and afternoon Listing on the Muster 2018 program Not Included in Exhibit rate Electrical connections must be reserved ahead and can be ordered directly from the Organising Working Party. 6 Sponsorship/Exhibition Policies 1. Sponsors and Exhibitors are asked to complete the attached form indicating an interest and a commitment to sponsorship or exhibition and forward it to: elspeth.radford@flinders.edu.au. We will forward you an invoice and payment must be received by the Organizing Working Party (OWP) no later than 5pm ACST, 1 September Logos of sponsors will be uploaded to The Muster 2018 website within 5 working days of receipt of full payment of sponsorship funds, subject to the provision of the logo by the sponsor. Sponsors must provide all related materials (e.g. logo, flyers) to the OWP no later than 5pm ACST, 1 September Any materials received after this deadline may not be included on the website, in the program, or within conference bags. 3. Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 10 September Cancellations are subject to an administration fee of $100 (with the exception of registered not-for-profit agencies). No refunds will be made past 30 September 2018 (with the exception of registered not-for-profit agencies). 4. Please note that the OWP must follow standards established by health care regulatory corporations and in no way should acceptance of sponsorship be implied as endorsement of the sponsors products or services. 5. The OWP will determine the appropriateness of the sponsorship and reserves the right to deny sponsorship. 6. This is an educational event and the focus on the conference will be honoured. Sponsors and exhibitors promoting their products are permitted to do so only in the exhibit location they have been allocated by the conference organisers. 7. Sponsors and exhibitors take full responsibility for the bump in, bump out and operation of all booths. The Muster 2018 takes no responsibility for any loss or damage sustained by our sponsors or exhibitors during The Muster Sponsors and/or exhibitors are not permitted to give samples or products to participants at the conference. Timetables and further information will be available closer to the conference date.
