2 IT S TIME FOR A CHANGE! Canoe Kayak BC needs a new BC Summer Games t-shirt design for 2018! So, we re holding a contest to find the best canoe kayak design for our zone t-shirts for the 2018 BC Summer Games (and beyond)! 1. Submit your design for a chance to win the CKBC t-shirt design contest and have your design used on the 2018 BC Summer Games t-shirts. 2. The CKBC team will select its favourite designs for the contest finals and voting by the public. 3. The four final designs will be posted on the CKBC s Facebook and Instagram pages for the public to vote on which design will be on BC Summer Games t-shirts. For all exclusions, restrictions, submission guidelines and further details about the contest, please visit the BC Games page on our website. FINALISTS & WINNER All finalists will be selected by the CKBC staff based on specific criteria and the final winner will be selected through a public online vote on CKBC s Facebook and Instagram pages.

3 COLOURS, LOGOS AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Your design must use one colour white on darker t-shirts You may design for either the front or back of the t-shirt The Canoe Kayak BC logo does not have to be included in your design. If it is not part of your design, it will appear somewhere on the t-shirt. o If you choose to incorporate the CKBC logo in your design, it must be recognizable with the design. o Do not make alterations to the logos o Do not shrink the logo down to a size where it is not clearly visible. o EPS, PNG and JPEG logo files are available here. All artwork must be entrant s own original design and un-copyrighted; Words and simple line images can be used No graphic or photos - personal or from the internet Format Only digital drawings or electronic designs will be accepted File types preferred: ai, pdf, tiff, jpg, png. Artwork can be no bigger than 8.5-inches to 11-inches tall (size of a piece of paper) The image can be placed on various locations of the t-shirt to best accentuate the design Keep lettering mid-size to large so it is legible once printed What you cannot use Profanity or demeaning languages/images Negative portrayal and representation of Canoe Kayak BC or the BC Summer Games Adult content Copyrighted materials that do not belong to you or to CKBC

4 HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR DESIGN Read the detailed Contest Guidelines and the official Contest Rules and Regulations posted here. Once you ensure your submission meets all criteria, save your artwork as a preferred file (ai, pdf, tiff, jpeg or png and keep your original high-resolution image. If your design is chosen, we will require this version for printing (.ai or.eps format). your design to info@canoekayakbc.ca with the following information: Under age 18? o Name, age, address and phone number; o Title of design o Description of the inspiration for your design o An attachment containing your design You must have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to submit your personal information to enter the contest. Your parent or legal guardian must include the following with the submission: Child s name Parent/guardian name Parent/guardian address and phone number Final designs If your design is chosen as a final four design, feel free to encourage your family and friends to vote for your design on Facebook and Instagram.

5 IMPORTANT DATES Submission Period: May 23, June 6, 2018 at noon PST Judging Period: June 7, 2018 June 8, 2018 Voting Period: Voting via Facebook and Instagram takes place from June 9, 2018 to June 20, 2018 at noon PST. The design that will receive the greatest number of likes will be the winner of the 2018 contest! Winner Announcement: During the last week of June, CKBC will announce the winning design which will be featured on the 2018 BC Summer Games t-shirt worn by zone teams during the Games!
