8 COMPETITION & CORPORATE AWARDS Games Medals are won by 1st, 2nd & 3rd in each event to recognise personal achievement. First Place Athletes receive a special Winners Entry into the World Corporate Games Games Points are awarded to the Top 8 in every event to recognise each Organisations s sporting success. Sport Championship Award winners are the Organisations with the most Games Points in a Sport. Championship Division Awards Games Points determine the winners based on the Organisation s overall team size. Championship Divisions Divisions Athletes The Medalist Award is presented to the Organisation winning the most Medals. The Sport For Life Grand Award is presented to the Organisation entering the most athletes. It recognises its leadership in fitness, team building & company excellence. CELEBRATIONS SuperCentre Celebration - Sir Stanley Matthews Sports Centre, Staffordshire University There you will find not only Registration, but your Games Souvenir, sport schedules, results and refreshments. 9 IT S EASY TO ENTER Organisations may enter as many individuals or teams as they wish in any combination of sports. Each person may enter any one of 23 sports. Enter online or request an Entry Form from the Games Office or download from Select your Event(s). Many sports have Competition Classes based on age. COMPETITON CLASSES Open Your Games age is the age you will be on 31 December Any participant may select the Open Class. The Games Entry Fee is 79 + VAT per person (Supplement applies to Golf, Karting, Tenpin - see Entry Forms) Entry Fee includes SuperCentre Games Celebration Sport Participation Souvenir Gift Official Programme Medals for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Athletes Grand Parade Closing Awards Celebration Games T-shirt Entry is on a first come basis. Enter early to avoid disappointment. Final Deadline - 30 May 2018 Entry will be confirmed in writing. 10 THE PARTICIPANTS SAY... Based on feedback from participants, this year was again a massive success! 99% rated their overall experience of the Corporate Games as either Extremely Satisfied or Satisfied, with 96% agreeing that their morale has increased & 73% increased their exercise /fitness level. The Games is a fantastic event & brings people together in a fun & competitive environment outside the office. Browne Jacobson entered the Games for the first time in 2017 with a team of over 70. We all had a really enjoyable weekend and the spirit we built in the training running up to the Games has been excellent. The inclusive way it has been handled has encouraged some to become more involved in wider activities at Browne Jacobson. Our involvement of the Games drove an improvement in health and wellbeing, with over 75% also engaging in training before the Games and 64% of people feeding back that they had improved their overall fitness. Beyond even this, 96% of people stated that they had met at least one person that they wouldn t normally have the opportunity to speak to and also improved their knowledge of the business. The Games gave everyone the opportunity to be an ambassador for our firm and across our participants we generated over 750,000 impressions on twitter, reaching 25,000 accounts using #TeamBrowneJacobson. We feel we are now building a legacy around health, wellbeing and collaboration from this starting point with 100% of our participants recommending it to others, 100% wanting to take part next year and an overwhelming 91% of our competitors wanting to maintain their training groups moving forward. It is safe to say that the Games has exceeded our expectations. Just wanted to say wow what an amazing weekend!! On behalf of everyone at Vodafone a massive thanks. Really exceeded our expectations from start to finish in every department. We ve had nothing but positive feedback from everybody who took part. Already looking forward to next year! Year-on-year I see the benefits that such an event brings, not just from an improved employee fitness level, but also from participation by our staff from different sites and offices across the UK. The weekend creates a great sense of comradery and the competition drives individuals and teams to achieve more. As team manager I am happy that Air Products can continue its longstanding (22 year) tradition of being part of the Worldwide Corporate Games Community. We have supported our associates participation in the Corporate Games for many years.
