MVC Staff did a great job Ushers were a bit out of the loop on Thursday/Friday. Improved as they became more familiar with the tournament process. There were many door open where I witnessed fans entering without having to scan their tickets or in some cases not needing a ticket at all. 2 Atmosphere Much better great crowd for a Friday afternoon 3 Awards Recommendation: To make the tournament runner up trophy similar in nature to the tournament championship trophy. Or to make the runner up trophy and the regular season championship trophy dissimilar in some other fashion. Really liked the set up with the corner stage. was not at the Thursday night awards presentation 4 Bands and Spirit Squads Easy check in and knowledgeable staff. 5 Facilities Nicer. Cleaner. Locker rooms still need to be worked on. significant improvement from St. Charles in all ways Better facility/locker rooms need to be improved nice arena 6 Fan/VIP Activities Bingo! The promotions table did not have Bingo #s as indicated in the announcement. A few fans went there to check the numbers and were told they didn't have them. 7 Gifts (Team and VIP) not sure what was given 8 Hospitality (Hotel and On Site) The "hotel" hospitality was great for those of us in the Radisson. On Site was cozy food was delicious! Centre Station location was nice, but detracted from the main action at the arena and hotels. Perhaps utilize a space at the arena or hotel. Great variety in Drake lounge. Appreciate the non meat options on Friday during Lent. Looking forward to next year in Quad Cities Very pleased with how the tournament went in Moline! Really felt like Quad Cities is our partner. I appreciate the efforts of the QC LOC. Ideally it would be great to have another hotel property or two downtown. I realize thats out of our control. The team meeting rooms in the arena aren't convenient for there teams staying at the Radisson, but we knew that going in. Luckily the weather was ok. It won't always be that nice in the Quad Cities in March:) No matter what Berger says!! Great upgrade from St. Charles. Great support from the community in the press. Hope that we can build some equity and increase attendance. Thank you for all the great work from the conference office in making sure this event went off smoothly. Quad Cities looks to be a promising home for this tournament. Significant improvement we must find ways to help QC make this work for them this is what a neutral site tournament can and should be for women's basketball. I really liked the Quad Cities as a venue for the tournament. It was very convenient and a very nice setting. Many of the questions asked in the survey where outside my area. I'm sorry I didn't have more input on those areas. A few things to get corrected: Locker rooms, the playing floor gaps in it, Otherwise good tournament atmosphere. Would still like to see the awards ceremony scrapped or prior to the entire tournament. Wonderful venue and promotion done by Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau. This is a great location for our women's tournament! Huge improvement over St. Charles based on my limited time there... Facility was an upgrade. Liked being able to stay within walking distance of arena. Very well run and organized on site. Thought the Quad Cities people did a great job of creating an exciting atmosphere and was very pleased with the crowds. Valley administration did a great job as always. For future, could look to handle traffic flow to press conference better. Teams had to continually walk past opposition post game, which isn't ideal. Overall we were very pleased by the event atmosphere, hospitality, and administration. The presentation, the experience, the venue, the promotion...so much different and appreciated. See it growing and growing. Great first year! Love the new venue. I only attended one tournament in St Charles but found the Quad Cities event to be very well run. Only complaint would be all the lines on the basketball court. Thought this venue was an upgrade from St Charles Overall things were great! The people at the hotel were very nice and welcoming. Overall Moline was a great experience, it was top notch. The area was a neat area with convenient restaurants and the location to the iwireless Center was awesome. The one thing that I noticed was the fact that the chairs on the bench had cloth on them and they soaked up the sweat from the players during time outs and when they came off the floor. Other than that, it was a great experience. Would have preferred the awards stage to be center court instead of back in the corner. It was hard to see the award winners. Also needed a bigger stage. We also feel that it would be better if the ceremony was later on Thursday night after the games were complete. It is hard and distracting for teams who are playing on Thursday to join in on the ceremony. The timing was off with the announcer and the presentation of awards. Our hotel did not have laundry

4 machines. It would be helpful for event planners to have recommendations of nearby laundry facilities that might be able to accommodate the teams. They were closed by 8pm so we couldn't use them. The ones that were open 24 hours were not recommended as being safe after dark. Team check in at the iwireless center on game day should be by the locker room entrance. Very good first year. Overall, really awesome in comparison to St. Charles. Everything in Moline seems to top what we had there. Great change! Scoretable/book didn't have fillout & ready to go until close to 10min mark. Person doing book asked asst for starters by handing them a roster. Then filling out book & not getting numbers right but not having book ready when they had wanted to proof book and used sheet instead. Seemed as though facility had security but locker rooms were open all the time before, during and after gms. Laundry facility/situation needs improved. had our clothes taken out of dryer b/c they said it took too long & needed to do another team's so never got dried. Laundrymats closed at 8pm & others were in shady areas. Was told they only had 1 bike and gave to other team already. Brought our own & then wasn't going to be allowed to have it near bench. Did get it changed. Also, saw about 3 other bikes on site. Need an attendant on hotel side to let teams in so don't have to go all the way around or have a staff person do it. TV talent wanted to talk 20 min before game instead of coming to shoot around for first game and then never talked to again for semifinal instead of coming to shoot around. Never talked to LLeonard and she was in same hotel and saw several times but never once asked about game or spoke. Only saw her talking to Drake. I know I am picky about this but I want our product/team sold and represented well and treated like they would if working the Big10/Big12, etc. Even playbyplay. Still think our players/coaches should get MVC t shirts to wear & promote our league more. OR school logo from/ MVC on back It was a pleasure to assist the conference tournament! Thank you! (1) It would be nice to have a different design for the 2nd place tournament trophy rather than having it look the same as the 1st place regular season trophy. Perhaps a silver edition of the tournament champs trophy. (2) Perhaps have a hospitality room in one of the host hotels versus an off site location that stays open until the promoted time. This year they were shutting it down around 10:30pm. I believe for the first year, ALL teams were made to feel special. I know we were! enjoyed the event! Overall, much better than previous tournament site in St Charles. The post championship game celebration, awards, net cutting, etc. was unorganized. Nobody was leading or giving direction which lead to some awkwardness/confusion as to what we needed to do next. The spontaneous celebration immediately following the game is great, but after the initial celebration some direction would help if there are events that need to be done and in a certain order. Having been on both sides of the championship game the past 2 years, it would help if some direction was given. The security/crowd control score is based on the fact that we watched fans walk down on to the main floor throughout the tournament without being stopped. Those of us that had credentials/pins were rarely asked for them. Not a huge deal, but at the same time, if random fans can just come and go on the playing level, it could lead to an issue. These are just examples of a few things that can be cleaned up in the future. Overall it was a much better event/location and definitely had a "Championship" feel B 4239 B4A7 A23C70AF1701 2/2

B 4239 B4A7 A23C70AF1701 1/ The new site for the MVC tournament is great. It is a good area and the close proximity of the hotels to the arena is very nice for our fans and us as players. We are looking forward to the years to come in the Quad Cities. In terms of adjustments that can be made to improve our conference, I think that the awards given out to the individuals need to match the weekly honors given out by the MVC throughout the season. This is not the first time that the "player/newcomer of the week" honors have not correlated to the final awards given at the tournament. When this occurs, the credibility of both categories of awards (weekly and end of the year) decreases all around. I know that the intent of awards is to honor the best players and performances in the conference; however, I think that there can be more consistency when these awards are distributed. When there are players shocked by the outcome of these awards and verbalize that to other teams/players, that in itself signifies there may be a problem area that can be looked at and improved. I also think that it would more practical if the all conference team were divided into a first and second team. The only reason I say this is because I want our conference to be taken seriously by everyone involved in it, and I want the MVC to continue to gain respect by other conferences and selection committees. I think our conference is on the right path, and I believe that if we can critically look at these areas with the intention of making the MVC the best conference it can be, then it will be an improved championship experience for all involved. Thank you for being open to feedback, and we are looking forward to the next MVC season. The only suggestion I have it to have the presentation of the awards at center court and not off to the side it was hard to see for everyone in the arena. The cushions on the basketball goal were pilling and rough. If they were hit, particles came down as a result. The Awards ceremony was really nice, but it did become overcrowded on the podium. Over the last few years that I have played I feel like each experience at the tournament is basically the same and I don't look at that as a bad thing, but maybe do some things to switch up to make each year a new and exciting experience. The area was nice, and the arena was nice size. I think the awards banquet was awkward. Overall the experience was alright not exceptionally great. The awards ceremony should improve next hear, there was trouble hearing and seeing the athletes at so far distance. In addition, the locker room facilities were poor. Iwireless was much better than family arena last year. I think the main downfall was the awards ceremony and the stage that the award winners were put on. It was very crammed and not as applicable for the crowd to see. Also, I think compared to other conferences our conference gift is not as strong as others for being a top mid major conference. However, overall, the championship experience was very good and everything was much more smooth in Moline rather than St. Charles

I heard one team ate breakfast at the iwireless Center, so that could always be an option for our team next year. Overall, everything was great! The Quad Cities were very welcoming and supportive of our team and the entire tournament. An Athletic Training guide going over what is available at the facility would be nice to have before the event. Could also include nearby pharmacies/hospitals/emergency info for Moline area. Overall, the experience for the studentathletes and facilities/accomodations was much better than St. Charles. There was limited access to ice, besides one ice chest located in the general athletic training room. It is nice to have a small cooler of ice in the locker room rather than having to make a trip with 8 ice bags to the ATR. The water bottles were difficult to use since the lids did not twist on completely. If the bottle got knocked over, water would leak out of the lid. The bottle carriers are also large enough that at at a certain angle, the bottles would slip through the openings. However, they are much better than the carriers from previous years. I had asked the athletic trainers/physicians on site about whirlpool/ice baths & was told that those needed to be arranged prior to the tournament. Out of convenience, we are not always able to predetermine whether or not an ice bath is needed, so it would have been nice to at least have one set up in the athletic training room for anyone to use as back up. Overall, the entire arena/facilities are much improved compared to prior tournament sites. The hosts for athletic training did an excellent job Could you please make sure all the arrows on the signs are pointing the right direction.
