2 THE CONCEPT In the light of the new Olympic Cycle, CEV has decided to modernize the European Beach Volleyball competitions, while collaborating closely with FIVB in developing a sustainable events structure model and aligning the event categories offered to potential organisers. A fundamental parameter of this approach is to establish a united calendar that allows the National Federations and Beach Volleyball athletes to better plan their activities and initiatives. The aim is to offer the top European athletes the opportunity to compete in some elite level events while at the same time providing the ground for all athletes to develop their skills. CEV is applying a new, dynamic event identity approach, with a comprehensive communication strategy addressing to a European fan base; while cooperating with each organiser in national level in Tailor-made marketing concepts and rewarding best promotional initiatives. 3 THE EVENTS The Star 2/Masters are considered amongst the upper level of Beach Volleyball events in Europe attracting some of the best European athletes and are organised in iconic venues across Europe, both on the beach and in city centres, and reach not only a European but a global audience. The Star1 / Satellites serve as an ideal base to develop both athletes and organisers, attracting athletes from across Europe and now, also from across the world. The tournaments are organised in wide variety of venues across Europe, from indoor to beach, parks, city squares and sports centres. Page 3 of 6

4 THE PROCESS Step 1: Application: The Candidature application needs to be presented through the BV-A Application form which is available in the download section of the CEV website. Step 2: Evaluation: The CEV evaluates the applications and provides respective feedback. Step 3: Award: In close collaboration with the potential organiser CEV shapes the event profile and awards the requested competition. Step 4: Execution: The Organiser and the CEV work together throughout the implementation process in order to properly deliver the event for all involved stakeholders. Time keeping and game-related technology h. Language learning systems and solutions i. Data Broadcasting rights National TV broadcasting rights Marketing rights at the venue Uniforms Ticketing / Subsidies - 70 % of panels and flags surrounding competition courts - 70 % logos on the backdrop - 50 % space on referee chair, & net post paddings - 100% in VIP and other hospitality areas (apart from CEV institutional logos) - 100% of athletes uniforms (apart from the FIVB/CEV predetermined position). Opportunity of sponsors appearance in Referees and OC members uniforms Compulsory for athletes, CEV officials & Referees. The Organiser retains the right to exploit this marketing opportunity according to the Brand Identity Guidelines document. Ticketing 100% with the organisers, except the CEV predetermined contingent.
