3 Dear Volleyball friends, S now Volleyball is a young and quickly growing dynamic discipline, which is played in iconic venues creating a unique event experience. Our aim is to promote Snow Volleyball, together with FIVB, making it in the next couple of years the top CEV and FIVB Volleyball competition. We welcome applications for the 2020 European Championship! Innovation, creativity and thinking out of the box are the key qualities we are looking for in our partners. We invite all to apply, be it National Federations, Winter Resorts, Clubs, Cities and/or other institutions and private companies. 6 CONFÉDÉRATION EUROPÉENNE DE VOLLEYBALL APPLICATION EVALUATION AWARD EXECUTION STEP 1 : APPLICATION The CEV invites you to apply for the organisation until 15 December Any Application shall be presented in English as follows: STEP 2 : EVALUATION The CEV evaluates the applications after reception based on the documentation provided as well as the experience with previous organisations in the respective country. The Application shall only be considered as valid when all requested documents are submitted. Each Applicant shall appoint one individual as main contact for the CEV, during the entire process. The submission of the Application is an acceptance The CEV may invite a Candidate during the process to present its application to the CEV bodies. The CEV may also inspect the sites proposed for the CEV competition. to comply with the CEV requirements and regulations for the organisation of the CEV competition. 7 CANDIDATURE APPLICATION GUIDELINE - CEV SNOW VOLLEYBALL STEP 3 : AWARD The CEV appoints the Organiser at the end of the evaluation process. STEP 4 : EXECUTION If appointed by the CEV, the candidate will automatically become the Organiser of the respective CEV competition. Public announcement of the appointed Organisers will be made together with the CEV at The Organiser and the CEV work closely together throughout the implementation process in order to deliver a mutually agreed time. 9 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS The present part aims to support each candidate to identify key organising aspects by asking important questions, which should be considered before submitting the Application. Furthermore, it aims to provide the CEV with the information necessary to properly evaluate each Application and appoint the Organiser. CONCEPT Present a clear vision and objectives stressing your motivation for Application. SUPPORT Binding support from the Host city, region, ski resort, sponsors other institutions and partners on national, regional and local level, which are involved in your Application. FINANCE A detailed draft budget covering the entire organisation including all anticipated expenses and incomes. A one-page statement (vision, legacy, objectives, strengths and weaknesses, Letters of support with the following information: a. Political support, b. Financial support, c. Human resources support, Have you considered all the potential expenses related to the organisation of the CEV competition? challenges and opportunities, etc.). d. MANAGEMENT TEAM & WORKFORCE An already set-up, experienced, structured, complete and skilled management team is essential for the proper event delivery. 11 CANDIDATURE APPLICATION GUIDELINE - CEV SNOW VOLLEYBALL CHAPTER 2 THE CEV COMPETITION With this chapter, we would like to know more about the staging of the CEV competition but also be informed about the sports related items, which would encourage you to apply. HOST CITY Host city with enough resources to support the CEV competition. What are the opportunities and challenges of the infrastructures of the Host city? A brief description of the Host city. COMPETITION VENUE Information about the Competition venue (in scale venue layout, history of other major sports events, etc.). A guarantee from the Competition venue s owner concerning its exclusive use from 2 days before to 1 day after the CEV competition. SPONSORSHIP / MARKETING This point seeks to present a successful marketing program in order to attract sponsors and partners. Who are your potential sponsors? A description of the marketing structure and deliverables between the different sponsors, suppliers and partners. PROMOTION AND MEDIA Innovative promotion of the CEV competition. How are you planning to use social and digital media? How will you involve the Community (NFs, other ENTERTAINMENT Culturally rich program of side events, ceremonies and other entertainment providing an added value. 16 CONFÉDÉRATION EUROPÉENNE DE VOLLEYBALL TERMS & CONDITIONS Competition Title CEV EuroSnowVolley 2020 Competition Period March / April 2020 Date exclusivity Competition Venue 1 Venue with: 1 Centre court with 500 spectators capacity (deck-chairs, snow tribune, etc.) equipped with 1 electronic scoreboard and 1 video wall. Min. 2 Side courts. Each with a big scoreboard indicating the team colors and countries, 1 Warm-up area per gender. Covered / heated areas for: Players area with seats, cold & hot drinks, snacks & fruits, Media & CEV Officials including high bandwidth internet connection. Number of competition days Min. 4 Number of teams Max. 32 women s teams (3 players per team) Max. 32 men s teams (3 players per team) TV production Min. Semi finals and Finals with min. 4 cameras. International signal to be provided free of charge to CEV / CEV Media Agency on an established European satellite to be defined by CEV. Provide up to 3 commentary positions. Organisation Fee

EUR 15,000 per gender Fees EUR 30 registration fee per team (paid to the Organiser) EUR 20 license per player (paid to CEV) CEV Marterial Support Video crew Trophy Medals Competition and Kid s day balls and nets (number according to number of Courts) Photos and videos from previous seasons Promotion of the event via CEV media platforms Accommodation (full board) Local Transportation For all CEV Officials in single rooms and referees in twin rooms from 2 days before until 1 day after the event. For all players from 1 day before the event until 1 day after their elimination. From the airport to the hotel and hotel to the venue for all CEV Officials and referees. Promotional support for CEV and CEV Commercial partners: reserve space for inflatables and promotional stand possibility to organize promotional activities Workforce Referees Naming Rights Tournament Dir., Comp. Dir., Court Manager, Photographer, Press Officer, 2 Scorers and 3 Ball retrievers per court (all with English communication skills) 3 courts: 6 appointed by CEV + 3 local 4 courts: 8 appointed by CEV + 4 local Use of presenting sponsor Sponsor identification including the terms national or local together with sponsor partner or supplier. Broadcasting Rights National TV rights (if Production rights used). Advertising rights 50% of Centre court & 70% of Side court(s) panels 50% on referee stand, net bands and net post paddings 100% on uniforms (appart from CEV pre-determined positions) 100% in VIP / hospitality areas (apart from CEV institutional logos 100% in Players area CEV protected Categories 1. Airlines, 2. Banking, 3. Betting and Gambling Services, 4. Body and Healthcare products, 5. Courier Services and Logistics, 6. Sport Equipment including Volleyballs, 7. Sportswear Alcohol (spirits), tobacco and pornography are prohibited categories. Ticketing rights 100% incomes from ticketing (normal and VIP - including hospitality) at the sole exception of those to be granted free of charge to the CEV (up to 50 VIP per day - including hospitality). 18

20 CONFÉDÉRATION EUROPÉENNE DE VOLLEYBALL MISCELLANEOUS To organise the CEV competition according to the CEV Snow Volleyball Competitions Regulations, the Official Snow Volleyball Rules and CEV Regulatory Framework. To comply with the rules, process and deadlines stated in the Application guidelines. The lack of compliance with the latter may lead to a denial of the Application, submission or request. To bear the costs related to the granted rights and obligations to be fulfilled. To use FIVB homologated equipment. The Applicant s involvement in the organisation of the CEV Competition terminates, without notice, upon appointment of another candidate as Organiser. The CEV is entitled to cancel the appointment of the Organiser in case of providing wrong or missing data. In case of a dissension during the Candidature process and related to the appointment of the Organiser, settlement of such dissension will be managed on a friendly way. dissension shall be settled according to the rules of arbitration of the Arbitration Centre of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce by three arbitrators appointed in accordance with said rules; with the Law of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg as governing law. The CEV is the exclusive owner of the author s right and related rights for each, any and all literary or artistic works arising during the Candidature process. In case a literary or artistic work or related rights is considered by law as a work of joint authorship between the CEV and the Candidate or as a work of the latter, all author s rights and related rights of the Applicant are irrevocably granted to the CEV. The CEV is the exclusive owner of each, any and all signs capable of being represented graphically, inventions, discoveries, processes, ideas, methods, ornamental or aesthetic aspect of an item and know-how arising during the Candidature process. The Applicant supports the CEV in applying and obtaining patents, designs and trademarks. The Applicant refrains for obtaining for itself any rights for these items. After 90 days and in case there is no friendly settlement, the 20

The names of all parties and their representatives shall be included at the end of the text. Please return one original to the CEV office, together with your application. Dear Sir or Madam, Hereby, we decide to apply for the organisation of the 2020 CEV Snow Volleyball European Championship, hereinafter the CEV competition. The present letter expresses our serious, clear and certain will. We are prepared to do our best to deliver a top quality sport event, to be seen by fans, media and partners as an international event. By submitting this application, we are irrevocably, fully and unconditionally willing to organise the CEV competition. In accordance with the data mentioned in this application and the requirements set by the CEV in the application guidelines. Our application is complete, true, accurate, realistic, based on existing and verified data and according to the CEV requests for information. We own, have or will obtain all the necessary and appropriate rights, licences, consents skills, workforce, experience and other resources to comply with the CEV requirements and implement the content of our application. If the CEV appoints us as Organiser, we acknowledge, agree and warrant that our application will automatically be considered as a binding agreement.
