2 2015 Connecticut State Shoot Honoree Edward S Hale Edward Eddie Hale is a Connecticut native, born in March 1943 in Bristol, CT. Eventually his love of auto racing lured him to the other coast for several years where he worked for Vel s, Parnelli Jones and Mike Kase Cars in California. Upon returning to Connecticut he started shooting trap at the Northwestern Connecticut Sportsman s Club. He figured shooting trap would improve his upland hunting skills. Instead, because of his competitive nature, he began shooting ATA registered targets in 1980 and has never looked back. To date, he has shot over 280,000 registered targets and is still going strong! He is one of very few shooters to obtain the 27 yard line shooting both left and right handed. A familiar face on the ATA circuit, Eddy regularly attends the Grand American, Pennsylvania, New York and most other New England state shoots. Eddy was inducted into the Connecticut Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame in 2003, an honor well earned for both his shooting accomplishments and his dedication and contributions to our sport. Eddy believes volunteers are the key in keeping our trap shooting sport viable and growing. He leads by example, having held many elected and appointed positions in our local clubs and the CTA. He is currently Co-Chairman of the Connecticut Trapshooting Hall of Fame. 2
