Like F1 cars, the C- X75 s chassis will be constructed out of carbon fiber to be light and extremely rigid. If the spec sheet and performance of the C- X75 sound formidable, just wait until you hear the price. Only 250 Jaguar C-X75 will be built and each will cost $1.1 to $1.4 depending on the specific market regulations. Production will begin in Jaguar XKR s at LeMans 24 Hour Race AJS member and Nalley Jaguar salesman, Bill Clark, gave us some exciting news at the May business meeting. Jaguar has confirmed plans to build the gorgeous C-X75 hybridpowered concept car. (Recall that we viewed a Jay Leno narrated video of the C-X75 at past meetings.) The C-X75 will match the performance of the world s fastest automobiles with the emissions of the most frugal economy cars. The C-X75 will mix internal combustion engine power with two powerful electric motors and four-wheel drive. Top speed will be 200 mph plus and CO 2 emissions levels will be less than 99 grams per kilometer. This will make the C- X75 as clean-running as a Smart car with the capability of 0-to-60-mph in less than 3.0 seconds. The Jaguar C-X75 will have a range of 30 plus miles in electric motor running mode. To help speed production and transfer some racing know-how to the finished car, the Jaguar C-X75 is being developed with help of the Frank Williams Formula 1 team. According to Jaguar, Williams will provide expertise in the field of Two Jag XKR GT s are preparing for the 79th running of the Le Mans 24 hour race. The greatest automotive endurance race in the world takes place each year on the storied km circuit outside LeMans, France. This year s race will be televised on the Speed Channel June, 18, starting at 8:30am EDT. The next American LeMans Series to be held in the US will be in Connecticut on July 9 and will be broadcast on ESPN2 July 10 at 1:00 PM ET. Car Sales Literature Some time ago, long time AJS member Frank Coleman, donated a pile of mostly Jaguar Cars sales literature to the AJS. I was able to

My preference is to communicate via a phone conversation. Stay well and drive safe Bob Maryanne and Joel Blackford have recently returned from a trip to Machu Picchu via the Vistadome Trail. They experienced phenomenal views through the 1.5 hour ride alongside the Inca Trail. The Inkaterra Hotel was their homeaway-from-home while they explored the ruins, hiked to the summit, visited the Inca Bridge and the Sun Gate. Sounds like a marvelous adventure - but rather vigorous! For those of you who didn't participate in the May 21st field trip to Wolf Mountain Winery, you missed a fun filled and wonderful day. Thirty AJS'ers tail-gated behind each other and weaved around the curvy road to the top of the mountain for a lovely lunch and for those who wished, a tour of the winery and tasting room. The winery owner even provided a golf cart ride for some of us "weak-kneed" individuals so we could view the impressive antique car collection. Good News Department: Dabney Talbott's eye surgery was a huge success - so much so that now she can even see around a corner! We're all happy over the results. Sheila and Paul Brower left May 24th to drive to Little Rock, Arkansas to attend their grandson's High School Graduation. They plan to spend several days there visiting family and friends. Marlene and Don Hart recently returned from a trip to their Miami, Florida 19th floor condo. A fun time with friends added enjoyment to their trip. She reported that she oh'ed and ah'ed all the way...especially while gazing at the windmills and blooming tulips. Activities Kim Daly, Activities Director Last month, our well attended activity, took us on a jaunt through the north Georgia mountains ending in Dahlonega at the Wolf Mountain Winery. Our personal GPS, Alan Talbott, led the way [in a Buick!] and didn t lose anyone! We send a big thank you to Alan for planning the route of our spring drive. At the winery, we were met by owner Carl Boegner who graciously showed us his garages and German car collection. The showing was followed by a delicious lunch overlooking the

vineyards and mountains. Does it get any better than this? (see pictures in this issue) Do you know who this lovely lady is?? ARE YOU READY TO CELEBRATE?

Davis Jr. passed away March 27, 2011, from complications of bladder surgery for cancer. He said he became a car enthusiast the first time he saw a Jaguar XK 120. He was a writer for such popular magazines as Car & Driver, Automobile and Internet magazine Winding Road. Rest in peace David!
