1 STATE CERTIFICATION CONTINUOUS EDUCATION SPRING 2018 The San Joaquin & Calaveras Counties Electrical JATC invites you to attend the Continuous Education classes for State Certification to be held at the Stockton Electrical Training Center. All classes count toward the 32-hour Continuing Education requirements for Electrical Certification. There will be minimum and maximum class sizes. Local 595 members will have priority registering for classes, all IBEW members and union industry affiliates are welcome to attend. Please check website for any new dates/classes EPS 1 - Beginning electrical supervision class. Classes are 4 hours for three nights a week for two weeks. 20 hours of CE hour s credit will be awarded to individuals attending. All Classes must be attended for credit. NECA-Beginning Estimating - Four, 8 hour classes covering Basic Electrical Estimating. 24 hours of CE credits will be awarded to individuals attending. All Classes must be attended for credit. LABOR STUDIES - Three hour classes for four evenings covering union agreements, employee & employer responsibilities, job safety, and Job-Steward s position. All classes required for credit. CPR/FIRST AID - four hour class for one evening. OSHA 10 - Three hour and thirty-minute class for three nights. All classes must be attended for credit. OSHA 30 - Three hour class for seven nights. All classes must be attended for credit. OSHA 10 is part of the 30 hours and must be from the same instructor with-in the past 6 months. HARASSMENT IN THE WORKPLACE Three hour class covering Harassment in the Workplace. This meets the requirements Supervisor Harassment Training. CONFINED SPACE TRAINING Three hour, one night course covering confined space entry. FIRE ALARM - Three hour class for six nights and five of six must be attended for credit. Only hours attended will be credited. VFD 101- Three hour course for four nights and three sessions must be attended for credit. Only hours attended will be credited. CONDUIT BENDING - Three hour course for three nights and all classes must be attended for credit. IDEAL VENDER DEMO, BEST TORQUE PRACTICES -Three hour course on the best practices and uses of Ideal Torque tools. GREENLEE VENDER DEMO, PVC BENDING Three hour course on the practical application and uses of Greenlee electric heaters and blankets HILTI VENDER DEMO, FIRESTOP & POWDER ACTUATED TOOLS Three hour course on the practical application and best practices of using Hilti Firestop products and Hilti powder actuated tools NFPA 70E Three hours for two evenings. Based on 2018 NFPA 70E. Both classes required for credit LEVITON VENDER DEMO, TITLE UPDATE- COMPUTER BASICS- Three hour class for three nights. Covering Microsoft Word, Outlook, & Excel BASIC SURVEYING- 1

Topics include hazard assessment, energized work permits, PPE selection and limitations. Cost: UGLY S NFPA 70E (version 2018) $25.00 CONFINED SPACE Wednesday 5:00 PM 8:00 PM C.E. Hours: 3 hours Dates: May 9, 2018 Class Size: 8 Minimum, 12 Maximum Description: Confined Space training, will cover permit and non-permit entry, OSHA requirements, air sampling, ventilation, and retrieval equipment.
