2 NOVEMBER 2013 Dear Hockey Supporter: Once again and for the fourth year in a row, the KENORA AAA SENIOR HOCKEY CLUB will be proudly representing Kenora and Northwestern Ontario in the annual Allan Cup playoffs to be played in Dundas this April. As defending Central Canadian Champions we will also be playing for the Renwick Cup as well as the Allan Cup. The Thistles are not only proud to represent our zone but also the City of Kenora, its great hockey fans and our dedicated sponsors. It is our plan to schedule as many good senior calibre home hockey games as possible to showcase our Allan Cup contending team and its players. Our manager, Bryan Booth and coach Brian Olson have endeavored to make our Thistle team even stronger than last year with energetic recruiting of players in our area to add to a strong contingent of returning personnel. After a year's absence we are pleased to also have the return of power forwards Malcolm MacMillan and Tobias Whelan along with defenceman Tyler Wooddisse. Our executive has managed to run the team and keep it on the plus side of the ledger, however a run to the Allan Cup is always an expensive undertaking. We therefore require your continued support and participation financially to enable us to contend by icing the strongest team possible.
