2 Welcome... was established in My great grandfather started the seed stock side of the farm with horses. As the years progressed the farm switched over to cattle seed stock and now myself being the fifth generation, am keeping the tradition going. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2nd Annual Bull Sale with guest consignors Edwards and JD Angus on March 8, In the past we have been selling bulls directly off the farm, through Moose Jaw and the Regina Bull Sale. We got great exposure at the RBS, where we met a lot of our valued customers. We were saddened to hear that Regina Bull Sale after 108 years, has folded before the 2014 season. It is an exciting time in the cattle business, according to a senior analyst for DTN The Progressive Farmer the market as of January 15 has surpassed the highest point for feeder cattle prices and futures in the 5 year American history. According to the 5 year chart, prices should be dropping but instead they are sky rocketing. In Newsom s terms Never step in front of a runaway train, let it run. I am very happy with the offering of bulls and heifers. Dad and Mom built some strong cow families emphasizing sound feet and legs, thick, easy doing cattle and great udders. They were proud to hear that four exhibitors showed animals with the K F prefix at last seasons shows. I am adding that extra style, power and excellent hair coat in the herd sires. The 2013 year ended up as a banner year winning the Reserve Senior Champion Female at Canadian Western Agribition and Premier Breeder at Manitoba Livestock Expo. The bulls are on the Canadian Angus Performance Program with a large number of bulls having huge EPD s and the conformation to go with it. I have been told repeatedly that the yearling bulls come out of the breeding season losing very little or no weight. I am very pleased for those customers topping the fall market by hitting $1000 and $1100 for their calves. Your resulting success inspires me to keep improving.
