3 After a couple of damp years, show day 2017 was glorious and so our fingers are very much crossed for more sun again this year! As well as the cattle, sheep and horse classes we have a very popular dog show; lots of great main ring attractions; trade and exhibition stands across the show site; vintage vehicles and the Llangynidr Garden and Craft Show in the village hall. Back in the main ring this year will be the hugely talented Wye Valley Axemen and the ever popular sheepdog and runner duck display provided by Hywel Davies. Last year the day finished with an evening speed shearing competition organised by Bwlch and Crickhowell YFC. We are delighted that the young farmers will be organising another event this year and we hope that it will become a regular fixture for our Show and the local shearers. I continue to be supported by great committee and an amazing team of volunteers who give up their time before, during and after the Show. 6 SHOW JUMPING Commencing 12 noon Class SJ1 1 9 Lead Rein permitted Class SJ2 2 0 Class SJ3 2 3 Class SJ4 2 3 Pairs Relay First rider to jump the full course, then pass whip to next rider who jumps the full course. If first rider is eliminated on their round, they must return to the start and hand the whip to the second rider who must complete the course before jumping their own round. Class SJ5 2 6 Class SJ6 2 9 Classes will be split Horses and Ponies if numbers permit. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY TO HORSE COMPETITION 1. Only horses and ponies competing will be allowed onto the Show ground. 2. All entrants must hold Public Liability Insurance. 3. Correct headgear and suitable footwear must be worn at all times when mounted. A hard hat must be worn by everyone leading a horse on the show field. 4. No horses (without allocated entry number) to enter any of the practice or competition rings. 5. Practice jumps and collecting rings will be closed and dismantled after the start of the last jumping class. 6. The judge s decision is final. 7. Entry fees are not refundable. 8. The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry without any reason being given and if necessary to alter or cancel any classes at anytime. 9. All horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over to compete in ridden classes. 10. Any objections must be received in writing within 15 minutes of the conclusion of the class together with a 20 deposit, which will be refunded if the objection is upheld. 11. The organizers and landowners do not accept any responsibility or liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to any person, animal or property whatsoever arising out of, or at this event. 12. All vehicles parked at owners risk. 13. Do not muck out lorries/trailers on the showground.

19 LIVESTOCK RULES AND GENERAL CONDITIONS OF ENTRY 1. The committee and landowners do not accept any responsibility or liability for any accident, damage, injury or illness to any person, animal or property whatsoever arising out of, or at this event. 2. Entry fees are not refundable. 3. The judge s decision is final. 4. Livestock exhibits must have been in the possession of the exhibitor for at least 3 months. 5. All livestock must be on the showground by 8:30am wherever possbible. 6. No livestock to be removed from the field until 4:00pm, unless otherwise arranged prior to show day. 7. Whilst on the showground, the use of any substance containing toxic chemicals to prepare stock for showing is strictly forbidden. 8. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry without any reason being given and if necessary to alter or cancel any classes at anytime. 9. The committee reserves the right to change any judge as necessary on the day. 10. All prize winners to collect prize money and cups before leaving the showground otherwise prize money will be returned to the Show funds. 11. All cups to be returned clean and in good condition to section stewards by July 30th (or on the day by prior arrangement only) 12. All vehicles parked on the showground or in the car parks are at owners risk. 13. All exhibitors to conform to all biosecurity measures and all vehicles and trailers to be in a clean state on entry to showground. 14. Do not muck out lorries/trailers anywhere on the showground. 15.
