Paul, Lois, Claire & Justis Rydeen th Avenue Clearbrook, MN / Another year has gone by and it is with great pleasure that we welcome you to our 14th Annual Bull and Female Sale on February 12, What an exciting time to be in agriculture with markets at such high levels. With cow numbers at record lows and strong consumer demand, the livestock industry is a bright spot in our lagging economy. We had a cool spring with plenty of moisture. The summer was productive but, by far, the best part of the year was the autumn. We had a warm, sunny autumn that lasted until the day after Christmas. Projects that needed attention for decades were able to get accomplished due to dry weather and mild temperatures. This made life easier for the animals and the producers! This represents our 33 rd year of selling breeding livestock. We have a bigger selection of bulls due to increased interest. We are excited to bring back open heifers this year. We welcome new sale partners, the Thesings, and are excited to have their beautiful females in the line-up. The black bulls will be DNA-tested for color and all the yearling bulls will have ultrasound data available on our website as well as sale day. Bull buyer bucks will be offered again this year. We are grateful for our past customers and their loyal support. As always, we welcome pre-sale visits and are happy to answer any questions. If you have any questions, please contact us. Registration Papers: Registration papers will be transferred on all registered animals. Feeding Arrangements: If you are unable to take your bulls home on sale day, we will feed them until May 1, 2012 at the cost of $1.50 per head per day, which will include a semen test before bulls leave the farm. The bulls we feed will be put in with our bulls and will be treated the same. Successful buyers are responsible for the animals purchased sale day. We encourage you to insure your animals. Trucking: Vision XIV consignors will assist buyers in coordinating and making the most economical hauling arrangements. Herd Health: Spring 2011 born bulls were vaccinated with Vision 8 and Vista Once. They were fall vaccinated with Vision 8 and Vista Once and poured with Dectomax September and re-poured in December All females have been Bangs vaccinated. The bred heifers were vaccinated with Ultrabac/Somubac, Bovishield Gold 5/L5 and poured with Dectomax prior to breeding. They were pregnancy tested in October 2011 and poured with Dectomax and have had Scourboss 9 and a booster of Scourboss prior to the sale. Fall bulls were vaccinated with Vision 8 and Vista Once and poured with Decotmax in the fall of In the spring of 2011, they were vaccinated with Vision 8 and Vista Once and poured with Ivomec. In the fall of 2011, they were vaccinated with Vision 8 and poured with Ivomec. The open heifers were vaccinated with Bovishield Gold and Ultrabac 7, and poured with Ivomec in October 2011 and poured again prior to the sale. Scrotal Circumference: Actual scrotal circumferences were measured the first week of January (They are not adjusted). Additional Information: Ultrasound data and DNA information on the black bulls for color coat will be available the day of the sale. Semen Rights: Vision XIV will retain ¼ semen interest on all bulls sold in the sale.
