We have been tremendously blessed and are pleased to offer a great set of Angus bulls and commercial females. As you turn the McCloud Farms is a mix of registered and purebred commercial Angus cattle that are raised and developed on the fertile pastureland of south developed in this same program. Although we have been in the cow business most of our lives, we have spent the past 5+ years aggressively acquiring and expanding our herd. Actively searching for and acquiring quality genetics is something we are always pursuing to improve not only our herd but also the herds of our customers as well. We have used our breeding philosophy of 1) phenotype, 2) maternal strength and cow families, 3) EPDs, to build our program along with extensive use of AI and embryo transfer with the end goal of always producing offspring that are better than their parents. We have used all the tools provided by Angus Association to measure and manage our herd including genomic testing with i50k. All of EPD accuracy to the equivalent of having sired about 1 calf crop. it without you. We feel that it is a privilege to work with our fellow cattlemen and look forward to developing a relationship with you, which is why we are offering free delivery of any bull purchased in the sale within 100 miles. That bull sired a hundred head of commercial Angus females that became the foundation of our commercial herd bulls for Luke and Jake to show in 4-H and other Angus shows. We began AI breeding using some of the top sires in the country for producing our own show cattle and herd bulls. When Mr. Ted Preuss and later Mr. Thomas Calhoun dispersed, we were fortunate to acquire all of their cattle along with the results of their lifetime of genetic selection and breeding. We continued sire selection and breeding with the commercial cattleman in mind, as we still do today for our 450+ females, half of which are registered Angus. We appreciate participating in the McCloud Farms Inaugural Bull Sale. They have been aggressively progressive in putting together and managing a premiere Angus operation. The same is true for the upcoming sale which will be an exceptional offering of outstanding registered Angus cattle.
