6 SCOTTISH BVD ERADICATION SCHEME NOTICE TO VENDORS AND PURCHASERS It is the responsibility of each Vendor to ensure that Vendor declarations in relation to the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea ( BVD ) status of all animals provided to Auctioneers are accurate declarations as at the date of sale. However, Purchasers should be aware that an accurate Vendor declaration cannot absolutely guarantee that any animal or progeny from any animal is free from BVD or is not a persistently infected ( PI ) animal. Auctioneers cannot accept any responsibility for the accuracy or reliability of any Vendor declarations and no warranties or guarantees whatsoever are given by the Auctioneers.
