1 Lawrie and Symington Lanark Agricultural Centre Show & Sale 2000 Of 2000 Suckled Calves (Sponsored by Country Refreshments) On Tuesday 1st October, 2013 at 9.30 a.m. (Judging at 8.30 a.m.) Judge W. Braes, Burnshot, Linlithgow GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE AS EXHIBITED IN MARKET And in addition the following RULES ALL EAR NUMBERS AND PASSPORTS MUST BE HANDED IN ON ARRIVAL AT MARKET AND PRESENTED IN STRICT ORDER OF SALE. Purchasers have 10 days from date of Sale to report any errors in Passports. Any paperwork which is found to be incorrect will result in consignor paying all expenses incurred and entitles the purchaser to reject the stock. All cattle sold are guaranteed to have no more than two teeth on day of sale. RULES SOLD UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF SALE AS DISPLAYED IN MARKET OFFICE, AS RECOMMENDED BY THE INSTITUTE OF AUCTIONEERS AND APPRAISERS IN SCOTLAND. Purchasers of Stock sold through a Store or Breeding Ring who intends to Slaughter these animals right away must satisfy themselves with the consigner that the animal is not currently in a withdrawal period from any veterinary medicines etc. ALL CATTLE MISSING BALLOT WILL BE SOLD AT END OF SALE SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SALE The buyer of the Store Heifer, Heifer Stirk or Heifer Calf which subsequently proves to be in calf (sustained by a Veterinary Certificate) will have the option of:- (a) Returning the disputed animal to the vendor and receiving keep at the rate of 10 per head per week (1 st November to 31 st March) and 5 per head per week (1 st April to 31 st October), claiming vets expenses, haulage both ways as well as the purchase price of the animal. OR (b) Receiving one third of the purchase price from the vendor, plus vet fees in full and final settlement. COMPLAINTS MUST BE INTIMATED WITHIN EIGHT MONTHS OF THE DAY OF SALE. N.B. No claim will be entertained for Heifers or Heifer Calves sold free of the bull turning out to be in calf unless identified to the Auctioneers prior to the animal calving. The same options will apply to Heifers sold as guaranteed in calf under the 49 Day Rule proving to be eild. TERMS OF SALE - CASH Interest Chargeable on all outstanding accounts after 7 days at 7% over base rate.
