1 About the Beijing Homebrew Society and the Sunset Beer Run: The Beijing Homebrew Society (BHS) hosts regular meetups at different bars around town where home brewers (local and foreign) get tog ether and share their homebrew and other hobbies. When they're not drinking an d chatting about efficiency problems or fermentation temperature control issues, s ome of them are out drinking and running. The BHS began organizing a monthly Sunset Beer Run back in June 2015 to celebrate this other pastime, and to open up the BHS community to a wider crowd. Now, with the weather having warmed b ack up, they are ready to kick off the 2016 Beer Run Season. Every Beer Run co vers about 4 km, visits four bars, and includes great prizes for everyone who mak es it to the finish line. The first race is taking place this Thursday, March 17, so hurry up and register w hile there's still time! Information on how the Beer Run works and how to register can be found below. This year's BHS Beer Run format will be as follows: The Beer Run will take place every third Thursday of the month, from March to November, a total of 9 runs, The race is restricted to running (and walking) - no other forms of transport. There are four bars in every race that must be visited, Each runner must have four beers during the race, Each race is roughly 4 km in total length, The race always starts within 10 minutes of sunset. One thing we emphasize is that this is not a professional race, but a social event for people who love beer, and maybe some running. There is also a prize for everyone w ho completes the race!

2 Happiness comes first when it comes to staying healthy. When: 6:30 PM, April 21, 2016 Where: 京 A Taproom,Chaoyang district stadium within 1949 club north road no. 4 yuan Race begins: 18:58:45 PM, Sunset Rules and guidelines for the Beer Run: Help us prepare in time by registering at least a day in advance. Participants who register on the day of will have to pay a higher participation fee. The fee to participate is free for BHS members, and 20 RMB for nonmembers. Those who don't register in advance will have to pay 40 RMB to part icipate. Event begins at 6:30 PM. Participants can arrive earlier and prepare, register/ pay participation fee, and warmup. The race will be begin at6:58 PM sharp with an announcement that runners can begin drinking their first beer. Only after finishing their first beer can runne rs begin the race. Every runner must complete the following two things at each of the four bars:

3 In front of that bar's race supervisor, finish a beer from that bar (Each bar will have a set beer), Have the bar's supervisor sign the runner's card once the beer is finis hed. The four bar's race supervisors are: 1. 京 A 2.Trouble 3.Paddy O Shea s 4.Arrow Factory A runner completes the race only after finishing the fourth and last beer at Lark Brewpub and obtaining the final signature and stamp from the su pervisor at that bar. Runners are free to chose their own route for the race. It is not required to foll ow the suggested route, but runners must race to each bar in the established o rder. Running is not required, but it does increase the chances of winning! The rac e and postrace festivities at the finish line bar will continue until 11 PM. Those wishing to walk should plan on finishing before this time. If a runner is found to be cheating, using public transit, or any transport ation methods other their own two legs, the runner will be disqualified.

4 Fess: BHS Members 150 kuai, non members 200 kuai. Tickets at the door are 200 for everyone. Our pass includes four beers, one commemorative class, and one craft beer run passport. Note: The beer run special cup and passport are an important part of the race. You'll purchase the cup and passport once, and use it the entire year. Please take care of your cup and passport. We will print out a list of runners that day. Everyone at the event will pay. BHS members, please bring your membership cards. How to Register: 1. Reply directly to the BHS WeChat account with the following - please note the format: "Beer Run, (Name), (Gender), (Mobile Number)". A BHS staff member will reply to confirm the registration after a short while. 2. Send your registration information (Name, gender, and mobile number) t o BHS@beijingbrewing.com, with "Beer Run" as the subject line. A BHS staff member will reply to confirm your registration. The cutoff time will be 2:00 PM on March 17. Registrations received after this time will incur the late-registration fee.

5 Prizes: Mens and Womens first place runners will receive a pair of shoes courtesy of KEEN athletic footwear. 2 &3 for men and women who will be provided by the KEEN T-shirt

7 Please note the following: It's still OK if you don't make it to the race on time, but it will start whether or not e veryone is there. It may be unlikely to finish in the top 3 spots, but it may still be possible to end up in the first 48 spots, and everyone who finishes still gets a prize. The important thing is to complete the race and have a record of participati ng in each race, as there are cumulative prizes throughout this years series of runs. There are prizes and titles for completing 3 races in a row, 6 races in a row, and all 9 races. Starting with next month's race, all runners will be issued a 2016 Beer Run Pass port. So, in order to have a complete record for the whole year of beer runs, plea se hold on to your race cards to be entered into the passports next month! As past Beer Run results have shown, it pays to be familiar with the route before t he race starts. Safety Reminders: This is an evening running event, and it is requested that participants dress appro priately with bright clothing suited for running, and wear suitable footwear. All runners are responsible for their own health and safety. If you feel that your he art rate is too elevated, or breathing is too difficult, please stop running.
