18 Starting procedures 1. QualificaKon: individual start Finals: heats with 2 compebtors No gates Commands: take your start posi0on, set, shot/trumpet! CompeBtors can immediately skate (each compebtor has his own corridor)

30 Information from the TD!

31 Individual start TD info The compe0tor must have his feet behind the start line and remain sta0onary before the starter gives star0ng commands. The poles remain sta0onary and must be placed in front of the line and/or star0ng gate The compe0tor may start any 0me between three seconds before and three seconds ader the start signal. If he/she starts more than three seconds before the start signal, it is a false start. If he/she starts more than three seconds ader the start signal, it is late start and the start list 0me will count A compe0tor who starts late must not interfere with the start of others.

32 Heat start TD info Compe0tors are organized on the pre-start line where instruc0ons are given and start lanes designated. The starter will give the command take your start and the compe0tors advance to the start line. When all compe0tors are at the start line, the starter will give the command Set and all the compe0tors must remain un0l the starter gives the start signal. All equipment must be behind the star0ng line! Poles on the ground!

33 False start Sprint TD info Any compe0tor who causes a false start will be sanc0oned by a wrioen reprimand. Following the first false start in a heat, any compe0tor who causes a subsequent false start in the same heat will be required to with-draw from the compe00on. The compe0tor will be ranked as the last posi0on of the applicable final, semi finals or quarter finals heat (rank 6, 12, 30 or 4, 8, 16).

34 Yellow & Red Cards TD info A compe0tor who receives a second wrioen reprimand in the same season will be automa0cally disqualified. WriOen reprimands given during the season are not valid in the JWSC, WSC and OWG periods. WriOen reprimands given during JWSC, WSC or OWG are valid un0l the end of the season.

39 Equipment at Flower ceremony TD info Compe00on equipment is OK to have on the podium but all other accessories are prohibited: waist bags with belt, phones on neck-bands, booles, rucksack/backpack, etc. Full text, see

40 Equipment at Official Ceremonies TD info Compe00on equipment is not allowed at the podium to the official ceremonies involving anthems and/or flag raising. Holding/carrying equipment on the victory podium ader conclusion of the whole ceremony (handing over trophies and medals, na0onal anthems) for press photos, pictures, etc. is however permioed.
