The Organizing Committee would provide and ask to show the flag/stick of the main sponsor of the race during the whole event. 5) ELIGIBILITY 5.1) IRC, Simplified IRC certified boats* are allowed to compete the event. All boats must fully satisfy the requirements of the ISAF Offshore Special Regulations 2013 for Category 3 with Life Raft and shall comply with the ITALIAN rules to sail offshore up to 50 Miles from the coast. (*) Monohulls MUST have LOA longer than 8.50 m. with inboard engine (internal outboard is not allowed), and if not plated, boats MUST have CE classification NOT LESS than A. (*) Multihulls MUST have LOA longer than 8.50 m., and if not plated boats MUST have CE classification NOT LESS than A. (*) If monohulls or multihulls are not plated CE A admission will be decided by Race Committee. 5.2) The Owner or Charterer of a participating boat shall hold current adequate marine legal liability insurance policy with respect to the boat, valid when racing and will ensure that all crew members are aware of the importance of effecting appropriate personal insurance 5.3) All Crew shall meet the requirements of ISAF Regulation 19 Eligibility Code. All crew shall be at least 14 years of age by the 31 December Any crew member still under the age of 18 by the day before the start of the race shall supply the written consent of a parent or legal tutor. The original document must be attached to the crew list submitted on registration before the race. 5.4) The skipper of each boat is responsible for his crew adequate knowledge and experience to take part in a Category 3 offshore race. 5.5) The minimum number of persons on a boat is two. 6) CATEGORY, GROUPING and CLASSES 6.1.1) IRC CATEGORY is formed by boats, as stated in point 5, having a valid IRC or IRC Simplified rating. This Category will be divided into groups as follows: -IRC CREW: boats sailed by more than two members. -IRC DOUBLE HANDED (X2): boats sailed by two members only. - IRC CRUISE: boats sailed by two or more members with following specifications: 1) Jib Furling or Jib with luff-groove. 2) Mast NOT tapered. 3) Windlass with installed chain at least weight 3 times in Kg of the LOA i.e. 15m = 45Kg of chain. 4) Laminated sails with low technology - ie: cotton, nylon, polyester, polyamide; PENTEX not allowed ) IRC groups might be divided into Classes. Classes are formed by the Technical Commission, delegated by the Organizing Authority, based on units, sailing efficiency, and homogeneity. The decision of the Technical Commission is un-appealable. 6.2) Monohulls may enter in more than one category. 6.3) Multihull Category is formed by boats, as stated in point 5, having a valid MOCRA rating. 6.4) The Organizing Authority reserves the right to accept entries or classes that are not listed above. 3 LA CINQUECENTO 2-8 JUNE ) SUBSCRIPTION Competitors have to fill in the entry form, pay the not-refundable admission fee and send them (entry form and Copy of the entry fee transfer bank) to the Organizing Authority not later than the 22 th of May The subscription must be completed within 6:00 pm of the 26 th of May 2013 with the following documents: I. IRC certificate, MOCRA certificate. II. III. IV. Team list form full filled in. Sailing association certificate, with medical certification where applicable, for all crew members. License to sail without limit (at least 1 member of the team). V. Insurance contract (races inclusive) with a minimum amount of ,00 (1milion/euro). VI. Advertisement license where applicable. VII. Declaration of the skipper responsibility and exoneration of responsibility of the Race Committee and Organizing Authorities. 8) SUBSCRIPTION FEES The not refundable subscription fees are fixed by LOA: FEES LOA in meters Euro 375,00 <= 11,00 Euro 425,00 >11,00 <=12,20 Euro 475,00 >12,20 <=13,70 Euro 575,00 >13,70 <=15,20 Euro 725,00 >15,20 <=18,00 Euro 1.000,00 > 18,00 Subscription fee for late entry (after Wednesday 22 th of May) will increased by 100,00. The fees have to be paid in advance with bank transfer registered to Circolo Nautico Porto santa Margherita c/o Banca del Veneziano, Caorle s agency: I BA N I T 7 6 Q , BIC/ SWIFT code CCRTIT2T85A. 9) SAILING INSTRUCTION Sailing Instruction will be available on line on the website asap or paper version from 31 May. 10) CHECKS Organizing Authority may inspect the boats, prior agreement by the Jury with the owner. The Organizing Committee may exclude a boat that doesn t comply with this rule. 11) SCORING 11.1) The IRC Category shall be scored on corrected time by TCC. 11.2) The Multihull Category shall be scored on corrected time by TCF. 12) AWARDS IRC: First Overall X2, First Overall Crew. First, Second and Third for each class if the group counts more than 5 boat. With more than 4 boats group first and second place. With 3 boats or more group only first place. IRC CRUISE: First, Second and Third for each class if the group counts more than 5 boat. With more than 4 boats group first and second place. With 3 boats or more group only first place. MOCRA MULTIHULL First, Second and Third for each class if the group counts more than 5 boat. With more than 4 boats group first and second place. With 3 boats or more group only first place. LINE HONOUR: The first boat in X2 and the first boat in Crew that arrives in Caorle. RECORD: The double handed boat that will determine the new course record; the current record of 500x2 is 69h36'34", detained by the Calypso IV. Organizing Authority may institute more prices. 4 LA CINQUECENTO 2-8 JUNE ) MOORINGS Boats may have free moorings from Sunday 26 th of May until Sunday the 09 th of June (depending on the port availability of free places). Mooring form is required. 14) TRACKER A Gps transmitter (TRACKER) might be used to track the boat. Information collected by the Organizing Authority might be used as media data, technical reasons and safety. Competitors are responsible for the tracker integrity and they have to return, at their charge, to the Organizing Authority after the finish of the race or after the retirement not later than 6.00 pm of Sunday 09th of June The skipper shall provide a guarantee for the transmitter with a not transferable check or a credit card deposit 500,00 (five hundred euros). In case of damage or skipping restitution the tracker, the Organizing Authority will retain the deposit. 15) COMMUNICATIONS While racing, a boat may use any kind of communications that doesn t breach ISAF RRS 41 and it may access internet for any public information. 16) DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the race entirely at their own risk. See rule 4: Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the championship. 5 2 nd - 8 th June 2013 SAILING INSTRUCTION ORGANISING AUTHORITY: Organising Authority of Circolo Nautico Porto Santa Margherita (CNSM), with Unione Vela Altura Italiana (UVAI) and the port Marina 4. The race and protest committee will be posted on the notice board. 1 RULES Racing Rules All included in the definition of rules in the RRS IRPCS - International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (Colregs applies during night hours (from 30 minutes after the sunset till 30 minutes before the sunrise) Competitors shall comply with National disposals and Maritime obligations (ie the Croatian civil and maritime rules regarding the forbidden areas, port approaching, with the obligation to carry a valid passport or Identity card valid to expatriate). All competitors must show the national flag astern and the flag of the hosting country on the right shroud. 2 TIME TABLE AND STARTING SIGNALS The warning signal is schedule for Sunday 2 nd of june at am. There will be only one start procedure with no grouping. The warning signal is the CNSM flag. The preparatory signal is W flag of CSI and means: no part of a boat s hull, crew or equipment shall be in the triangle formed by the ends of the starting line and the first mark during the last minute before her starting signal. If a boat breaks this rule and is identified, she shall thereafter sail from the course side across an extension to the prestart side before starting and she shall receive, without a hearing, a 5% Scoring Penalty on the real time. The Race Committee will call on the VHF channel 72 stating: Name and sail number all eligible competitors. Boat/ Competitor called will confirm with name or sail number on the course. The call procedure will start at and will end at Boat failing to answer will be scored DNC. The starting procedure might be communicate via VHF on channel 72. VHF miss-communication will not be eligible for request for redress this change rule 62.1 The individual recall might be communicated via VHF stating the sailing number. 3 STARTING LINE Starting line will be between the orange flag on the committee boat on the right and the orange mark with on the left. Starting line will be perpendicular to the cost from the port side entrance approximately 0,7NM to NorthEast. 4 COURSE Start, gate with 2 marks in front of the church of Madonna dell Angelo in Caorle, Susak island (HR) to keep on the right hand side (clockwise turn), then sail to Tremiti Islands 42 06,89N 15 29,73E (to round un-clockwisely) then Susak island (HR) to keep on the left hand side (un-clockwise turn) then back to Porto Santa Margherita - Caorle.

6 5 FINISHING LINE The finishing line will be between the west light of the entrance of the port of S. Margherita di Caorle (to keep on the left side) and the Orange mark that might have a white flashing light during the night hours (to keep on the right side of the boat). Finishing orange mark is located at 45 34,815North and ,719 East. After finish the boat shall give back the SGS-Tracking and will receive the check or credit card guarantee as receipt. 6 CROSS CHECK CONTROL AT THE ARRIVAL At the arrival at Porto Santa Margherita competitors have to call from 5 miles away from the finishing line on VHF channel 72. When a boat is arrived nothing can be docked for the closing race check only the team may get off. 7 TIME LIMITS Time limit is Saturday the 8 th of June 2013 at 12:00 am. 8 COMPLIANCE DECLARATION Competitors have to fill in the form given in all parts and must be signed by the skipper of each team within 2 hour from the arrival time. Boats arriving during the night time or when the secretary office is temporary closed must deliver the declaration in the mail box writing the posting time or send it by fax at Incorrectness or incompleteness of the form or the late delivery will occur in a time penalisation of 2% or the real time without hearing 9 - PROTEST Protest shall be filled in the form available in the secretary office and given back with the protest fee of 25 Euro within the 2 hours of the arrival time of the protestor or in case of night arrival must be posted with the time indication in the form with the Compliance Declaration and informing the race committee that were on the finishing line. The jury may apply different penalization than DSQ to boats not compiling with SI n 1, 2, 6, 8, 10 (ie. Penalization on the real time min 2% max 20%) Measurement protest fee is 500 that the protestor have to deposit with the protest. The protestee have to deposit the same amount to reimburse the cost of the measurer in case of loosing the protest. The competitor may retire after finish within 2 hours from his arrival for any reason. This changes RRS 44.1 time limit. 10 SPECIAL RULES AND PRESCRIPTIONS Retired boats shall give immediate communication to the RC, with VHF of by mobile phone to one of the following numbers , or with relè with other boats or throught sms writing boat XXX retire with coordinates AagradesBBfirstCCsecond North e AagradeBBfirstCCseconds Est. If this would not be possible they have to inform the secretary office by fax asap when they inshore a port. Failing this point will give the right to debit the cost guard to search and rescue of the boat to the competitors. Logos and Identification numbers: the Organising Authority can ask to competitor to show in the front side of the boat a logo or a brand of the sponsor Radio Communications: if the VHF of the radio transmitter stop working during the race the boat is obliged to retire. If any boat will need assistance after the race (ie. flat batteries, engine issues, enter the port etc.) has to call the Marina 4 Rescue Boat Service tel (Payment is required) Attachments: -Map of the course and start of the race -Map of Susak -Map of Tremiti islands -Authorization of The Hratska National Authority -Compliance declaration
