4 J U M FRIDAY Sam Perkins Sam has spent more than half of his life riding trials. He grew up riding on rocks all over his hometown of Lake Placid. Currently living in Pla sburgh, Sam con nues to push his riding level on his backyard training grounds. Through the years, Sam has hosted na onal level compe ons and events, competed all over the East Coast, and performed countless demos. When he's not on his bike, Sam's in the woods, building more stuff to ride on or working on becoming a 46er. P J A M Taylor Wright Sanson Taylor, a pro unicyclist of Saratoga Springs NY, was born in the Adirondacks. In addi on to unicycling, Taylor is an avid skier and spends most of his me in the park. Taylor has been unicycling for 8 years. He competed in the OUI'08 (Canada's na onal unicycle compe on) where he took home a gold medal in the expert category. For six summers, Taylor toured with Circus Smirkus, America's award winning interna onal circus. Taylor Recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Interface Design from Wheaton College in Massachuse s and also competed on the varsity diving team. Taylor is one of five known people to consistently land a backflip off of his unicycle. This, along with many other pictures and videos, as well as contact info, can be found on Taylor's website:

5 Michel Houle Pilon Mike has been riding for 3 years now and has entered all of the Québec compe ons in the last couple of years. In 2013, he joined the BESHANO Bike Trial's demo team and came second place in beginner for all of Quebec. Mike is also a family man with a wife and two children. NIGHT JK Hendricks With over ten years of passionately developed skill, JK has competed in the sport of bicycle trials and performed customized extreme bicycle demonstra ons at many venues from Interna onal industry trade shows and fes vals, to countrywide product launches. Originally from Toronto Canada, JK now lives in Montreal and splits his me between cycling and working in the field of marke ng. Having experienced the life changing effects of recrea onal and compe ve sport, JK is dedicated to sharing the knowledge of trials training and encouraging kids to be reach past their limita ons and excel! Carsin Willson Carsin is 31 years old and has been riding for 13 years. He has traveled Europe, USA, Canada for compe ons and shows. Carsin came second place last year in all of Quebec, third place in all of Ontario, and is also ranked in the top 10 in Canada. He is currently the manager of the BESHANO Bike trials demo team Canada and is in the works of branching out to the USA next year. Over the years Carsin has had many different sponsors and worked with many different promo onal companies, such as Cirque du Soleil and others. J U M P J A M

9 BAG DROP There will be a truck at the star ng line that will take your bags to the top of the mountain. Please mark them clearly with your name and cell phone number on them. Items such as warm clothes and bug spray are recommended. Bags will be wai ng for you at the finish line. Special Instructions for Spectators of the 13th Annual Whiteface Mountain Uphill Bike Race Those wishing to cheer on, support the par cipants and see the finish of the Uphill Race, may purchase Spectator passes at the Registra on on Friday night from 4 9 at the Whiteface Ski Center. These passes are for spectators only and are valid from 7:45am 9am on Saturday. Please note that Route 86 will be closed to all traffic star ng at 7:45am un l the last racer has reached the intersec on of Rt 86 and Whiteface Veterans Memorial Highway. There will be a special viewing area at the corner by Candy Man where spectators can cheer everyone on as they start their climb to the top! A er the last racer has turned the corner, vehicles will be allowed to make their way to the top cau ously while passing the racers.

12 The Poor Man s Downhill trail has become so popular, the Town of Wilmington is now offering a shuttle every other Sunday all summer long! Riders are to meet at LEEPOFF Cycles (5549 NYS Rte 86) to catch the shuttle. It will run continuously from 1:00-4:00pm and the cost will be $5 per person/per day.
