3 Resilient New Smyrna Beach Workshop Brannon Center Wednesday, January 30 at 6:00 PM Building on 2018 s Coastal Community Resiliency (CCR) efforts, this workshop is part of a grant funded by FDEP. There will be presentations ranging from an overview of sea level rise to our Comprehensive Plan's Coastal Management Element and group exercises for public input. These will help the City develop real world solutions to make New Smyrna Beach a more resilient community.

4 Donnadine Miller Memorial Historic Preservation Award Due by Thursday, Jan 31 at 5:00 PM This annual award promotes the awareness and appreciation of buildings and sites in New Smyrna Beach that contribute to the City s heritage and character. The Historic Preservation Commission will select the winner and the City Commission will present the award in March during Florida Heritage Week. 5 55 th Annual Indian River Open New Smyrna Golf Club Friday to Sunday, February 1-3 This tournament is NSB s longestrunning sports tournament and the second oldest event on the North Florida PGA Winter Tour. There will be a Pro Am round on Friday and an estimated 140 pros are expected to compete on Saturday and Sunday. Bleachers will be provided at the first tee and 18 th green.
