15 11a HILLSIDE POOL RULES HOURS OF OPERATION: (When pool is open) Subject to change Daily 6:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. (closed Tuesday 6:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. for cleaning) Family swim hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday; - 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and major holidays - 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Hillside pool is closed December 1 st -April 30th. POOL TEMPERATURE: The desired operating temperature is degrees LANE LINE USE: Lane use will be determined by Aquatic Advisory Committee and Staff as needed. Lanes 1 & 2 are not designated as lap swimming lanes (pool steps utilize the shallow water entry) Lanes 3, 4, 5 and 6 are designated as lap lanes FAMILY SWIM RULES: Residents may bring family members. Resident must remain with their family at all times. Non-swimmers must be within arms reach of a responsible adult at all times. Children swimming independently or using deep water must be able to pass a swim test if asked by the lifeguard. Non-swimmers are not permitted to use arm band floats, or other flotation devices not approved by the U.S. Coast Guard. Children under 18 must leave the pool complex at the conclusion of family swim hours. 20 SUBSEQUENT ACTIONS: 11b-2 Staff will prepare any additional information or cost impacts for items discussed by the Committee. This information will be presented during the August meeting. ATTACHMENTS: 2016 Aquatics Budget Narrative and Head Count 2

21 11b-3 AQUATICS 2016 Budget Narrative Account # Overtime Wages Overtime wages for lifeguards are needed to cover extra shifts due to holidays, illness, vacation or when not fully staffed. Overtime has increased with the additional operating hours during the months of March and November. $10,000 is requested (increase of $5,000) Account # Travel and Meal Allowance Currently, all staff has to use their personal vehicles to travel from pool to pool to conduct their work. Millage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate. $4,000 is requested Account # Staff Training Lifeguards receive ongoing training and certifications. $2,000 is requested # Uniforms/Laundry The Aquatics Staff is required to wear seasonal uniforms. $3,500 is requested Account # Safety/Security Supplies This account covers first aid items, AED batteries, CPR supplies, etc. $2,000 is requested Account # Supplies This consists of pool related supplies such as Aqua belts and noodles for water fitness classes, replacing clocks, umbrellas, table tops, thermometers, kool grips for the hand rails, key replacements, wrist bands for kids and guests, back pack replacements for the Bag Valve Mask, and other miscellaneous items. $15,000 is requested
