Talent ID/recruiting swimmers Recorders Recording/adding up points after score sheets have been submitted Starter Waiting for confirmation from Craig/Blake to start the race Marshals Assemble students for each age group at the deep end Organise championship races first for each age group Organise the rest of the age group into houses for swim through Encourage competitive participation and involvement/house Spirit Placings/Timing Each individual staff member will be responsible for timing a lane for the championship races Times will be recorded on a post it note and handed to the competitor. 6 Middle/Senior School Swim Carnival Wednesday 6 th February - Timetable TIME MIDDLE SCHOOL SENIOR SCHOOL 8.30am-8.40am Pastoral Class Pastoral Class 8.45am Assemble in Quadrangle Staff to walk students to Langland s Pool 8.45am-11.10am Period am-9.30am Period am-10.20am Period am-11.10am (Each period shortened by 5mins) 9.00am-11.30am Middle School Swim Carnival 11.30am Staff and students walk back to the College 11.10am-11.35am Morning Tea 11.35am Senior School Staff and Students assemble at Veritas then move off to Langlands Pool am-12.15pm Morning Tea 12.00midday-2.30pm Senior School Swim Carnival 2.30pm Staff and students walk back to the College 12.20pm Period pm Period pm The rest of the day (ie Lunch and Period 6) will operate as per normal 3.00pm-3.05pm Pastoral Class Pastoral Class Staff will be allocated 1 break throughout the day. For those rostered on duty at either Swim Carnival, the Sports Office has made allowances for a generous amount of staff to perform the duties required. Therefore, if one feels as though they need a break, he or she could negotiate a small break with those members of staff who are also performing the same duty. Each carnival will run for 2hours 30mins. Drinks and a muffin will be supplied to all staff members.
