2 The swim team of the Karlruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) would like to invite you to the 10 th Fridericiana Sprint Night on Friday, December 2 nd. Besides the usual course of events, there is going to be a sprint decision for the 50m butterfly and 50m freestyle competitions. This decision is brought about with preliminaries, quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals. The eight fastest swimmers from the preliminaries qualify for the Quarterfinals. Two swimmers are going to compete against each other in a knockout system for all the different finals. The winner from each race qualifies for the next round. Beyond, there will be a final for the 100m individual medley which is hold by the five best swimmers of the preliminaries. Nevertheless the 6x50m freestyle and 4x50m individual medley relay will complete our track list. The winners receive attractive prizes. For your well-being, there is a dinner and bar with student prices where you can eat and drink before going to the party. Believe us, you will need the refreshments We have booked our gym No 2 for you to stay over night. So bring your sleeping bags and mattresses for your own convenience. A final breakfast on Saturday morning ends the whole event. Because of the great success of the last years we must limit the number of participants to 350. First come, first serve!! 3 Information for the registration Please make sure that you fill out the registration clear and legibly. This prevents misunderstandings. Because of the chaos at the dinner last year, it would be great if you say us in advance if you want to eat something after the competition. Please write this in the therefore provided column on the registration form. Please fill out the registration completely, which includes: Team, contact person, mail, phone number, number of accommodations, number of dinner.

4 Important information about the competition The dinner will be served after the competition but only till 1.00am!! Please leave the pool quickly after the competition. It is forbidden to bring glass bottles to the pool. If you do so your whole team will be disqualified. You can buy the bons for dinner and drinks during the competition at the snack bar or later at the party. The new regulations concerning the swim suits can be found here (german) or on the homepage of the FINA. The Medal ceremonies will be hold during the competition. Breakfast on Saturday will start at 8.30am and will end at 10.00am. You have to leave the sleeping hall till Saturday 10.30am.
