Led by Coach Garry Glaub, a Laguna Beach Community Services tennis instructor who has been teaching tennis in town for 20 years, BASE CAMP is designed to keep your child learning and growing in athletics. The morning will be filled with a variety of sports, including tennis, dodgeball, kickball and badminton. After lunch, we walk to Goff Cove Beach behind the Montage Resort for two of the afternoons from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Goff Cove is facing south, with very small waves, a full-time lifeguard and was chosen specifically for your child's safety. We sit immediately beside the lifeguard stand and children are not allowed to go above waist deep. The other two afternoons, we watch family-oriented, kid-friendly movies. While improvement of hand-eye coordination is a concern of the camp, the emphasis is on Sportsmanship! "It's not how you win or lose but how you play the game." COACH GARRY emphasizes fun and humor, but above all, following the rules! FULL-DAY CAMPERS should bring lunch and snacks daily. HALF-DAY CAMPERS should bring snacks daily. It is located two blocks north of Bluebird Park on the left. Laguna Beach High School: Four night-lighted courts and two unlighted courts are available during non-school use. The courts are located on the north side of Park Avenue at St. Ann s. Lang Park Community Center: This park has one unlighted tennis court. It is located at Wesley Drive, off Coast Highway. 6 Alta Laguna Park Playground Program FREE SUPERVISED PLAYGROUND PROGRAM! Alta Laguna Park is located at the north end of Alta Laguna Blvd. Activities include arts and crafts, games and sports! The supervision children receive at the program is not the same as childcare. Children are free to come and go.
